Q: Does this product come with a warranty?

Not a specific warranty that I can recall but it is well made and can be returned to Amazon if faulty. If it is not faulty it should last for many years.

Q: Can this replace the old AFv40100 unit without taking whole tank off? Does the valve fit into the same lower mounting?

I can't remember the part number, but I only changed the top part. It said it fits other older models

Q: Can’t see how to twist and lock this in, the new one has a long thread at the base

hi sounds like you ordered the wrong one after 1/4 twist and pull out the old one lust fit new one in the hole push and 1/4 twist new one should be in ok hope this helps

Q: Is this unit compatible with the afv50100 afv50200

Hi - not sure, but on Amazon if you type in afv50100 you will find the correct one, although they do look similar I can't imagine why two versions of the same valve would be produced .
