My husband is very happy with this present.

I bought this to replace the built-in mic on my webcam, mostly for audio recording of speech of for use in online meetings and such. Note that is a big, chunky beast, with a fair heft to it. It's about 30cm tall, and, to use it for meetings, I place it on my desk in front of my keyboard. That's not a problem for me, but if you're using a small desk or want something discreet, it might be for you. I have it connected to my PC via USB.It was straightforward to set up and the controls are simple and intuitive. Easy to mute with the button on the front. The build quality seems good to me. It has a socket with a standard headphone jack so you could connect a pair of wired headphones and control the volume using a knob on the mic. I've not really tried this, as I tend to use external speakers.The sound quality seems good to me, at least for recording speech and in meetings. No echo or interference. Everything is clear and well balanced. I've not tried to record anything musical or too sophisticated, so I've only used the most basic setting.Overall, this is ideal for the (very basic) purpose for which I required it, and good value for money.

First impressions are very good. Crisp and clear sound up to 24-bit 96khz. Build quality is superb also, it is built like a tank.
