I was a bit concerned on reading some of the prior reviews, but to be honest I think these are a lovely item. I have purchased two. The copper wire can easily be unwound and being firm can be shaped as you desire within the glass jar which fits perfectly into the wooden base. There is no need to even tighten the screws, unless you plan to display the lamp at an angle, which I can't imagine anyone would. There is a push switch on the cable and although it is a USB plug, adaptors are cheap and easy to buy so it could be described accurately as a bedside lamp. It is for ambient light, as I had expected, but is actually quite bright. It looks exactly (or mine do) as they do in the photograph. I don't know what people expect for the price but I think it is a good buy and far cheaper than buying lights and a separate glass display case. My only slight irritation was the long wait for delivery, but I was warned on placing my order and it was only a few days later than expected, quite likely due to the pandemic. The seller was polite and helpful in all communication. I thoroughly recommend these quaint lamps.

I brought this for my girlfriend who loves 'shiney stuff' and she's really pleased with it.It came really well packed which is just as well given the fact is mostly glass and simply features a good length of USB powered warm white LED lights (which is great if like me you're dubious of import power supplies), a glass dome and a pine base. The glass gone includes the small rubber dots near the base to prevent rattling on the base and the base itself includes three discreet grub screws (an Allen key is also provided) to gently hold the glass in place. I would stress here the word gently... Overtightening these will almost certainly crack the glass and it really doesn't need much anyway.The lights are very pretty and a lovely feature in any room (literally any room thanks to the low voltage supply - it could even be happily run from a USB power bank if a socket isn't really available). There is also quite a bit of room in the dome for other little nick-nacks if you chooseThe base is very lightly varnished so colouring it wouldn't be a problem if desired but pine generally suits any area anyway.All in all, a great product and very reasonable price.

Ordered this for use as a display case for a favourite small hand painted figure of Napoleon, as a surprise for my husband.I'm very pleased with the quality and appearance. I like that it is USB powered rather than batteries (batteries run out quickly in my experience) and the cable is a decent length to stretch to power point (it also has an on/off switch along the cable). The cable feeds through the solid wood base (which has a nice smooth finish) and the copper lights plug in. The glass dome then fits over and into the groove, it is very loose at this stage and requires tightening of the two tiny screws (tiny Allen key provided) along the base edge which stabilise the glass dome, although it should never be lifted by the dome as it isn't a firm fixing and the dome could potentially lift away, it stops it wobbling however.It looks lovely lit up and makes a favourite ornament look special. Can't wait to see my husband's reaction when he sees it.

The pictures are representative of the product I received.I like it, the only disappointment was the size of the light, which is plainly stated in the listing on Amazon, but I didn't read it, so that's down to me.Bought it to use as a table lamp, but it's a little too small for that purpose, really. If I had a desk, with a PC, I might use it there, for instance.The light is powered by a USB cable with a switch on the wire. I wanted to plug it into a regular plug socket, as didn't have a handy USB socket, and it's working fine with an inexpensive USB-plug adaptor I bought off Amazon.

The wire was so knotted it took 1 hour to untangle. The only means to plug it in is via usb cable. There was nothing in the advertisement telling you that you need a usb plug which if you include that in the cost makes this expensive and in my view certainly not worth it!

Poor product indeed. Was delivered on time at 3:15pm. By 4:15 it was repackaged and on the way back as it only worked when the USB cable was held in a certain orientation. Also I noticed that the opening of the glass jar was not exactly round which led to it being awkward to fit into the base. The lights themselves looked nice when they actually worked. Overall very disappointed and a waste of my time. Just hope the refund is sorted soon.

What a really pretty lamp this is! It gives off the most warming glow in a dim or darkened room. It was easy to put together - you arrange the wire inside to whatever design you want which is a nice touch. Then placing the dome on top you are provided with an Allen Key and screw it to the wooden base. That's it!It does only run off USB power which is a shame as it can limit where you place it. You could get a USB to power adaptor plug which would then solve that issue, you could then plug into any wall socket.It's unusual design is modern, funky and would look great anywhere. Ideal for a soft night light or atmospheric touch to a room. I really love soft light and am thrilled with this lamp.Delivery was fast and it came undamaged and well packaged. Very happy!
