Love this book. Cliff hanger chapter endings keeps them coming back for more.

I'm a forest school practitioner and have used this book with teenagers who I work with. It is an easy read and can inspire lots of practical activities.

Loving this book. Its very addictive

The Journey that you go through in this book is very satisfying and the story telling is amazing. You find yourself imagining what you would do in the situations to this young boy in the wild. I give a 4 not 5 because i felt that there could have been another element to the story that would have made it more intriguing.

A simple but engaging read with lots of literary devices. I really enjoyed this and am planning to teach it at year 7/8 level.

A well paced, attention gripping tale told with the minimum of dialogue. I found it as a recomendation at the end of another survival story and it was well worth reading. Pity there isn't an e-book version, especially as the thirtieth anniversary edition was released in 2017.

I bought this after it was recommended on a YouTube channel I watch. It is a quick read, as in a few hours max at only 160 pages. But it packs a lot in. My mother and son both read it before I did and we all agreed it was a really good book. Excellent lessons for youngsters about not giving up and the strength or a positive attitude. I will leave it there for you to enjoy the journey yourself. Buy it and enjoy it.

I'm an adult but this is a great book and well written. The difficulty he faces makes this much better than other books which make surviving sound too easy !

Çok uzun olmayan tatlı bir hikâyesi var, dili basit ve çocuklar için uygun. Aslında tam bir çocuğun okuyarak seveceği türde bir dil yapısı var, çünkü bir çocuğun elinden yazılıyormuş gibi yapıyor yazar. 10 yaş ve üzeri için gayet uygun. Onun dışında elbette ki her yaştan insan için önerebileceğim bir kitap. Kesinlikle denenmesi gereken çocuk edebiyatı eserlerinden biri.

No wonder the efforts and rejections of years of practice have brought out real gold in writing by the author. The visuals are so stunning, that you feel as if you are right there in the midst of the scenes. Refreshing to read, even after such a long time, thanks to our school who recommended this book to my son, I ended up in this wonderful indulgence.

Fave book for all ages

My grandson and I read a lot of books together. We loved this story of a young man finding himself, his many abilities under difficult circumstances. It combines life issues with the issues of being stranded. We loved the story and the messages that are important for young people to hear. You can do it! Be Patient!
