Absolute lifesaver
Works like magic! I have a daughter who is a little Picasso and ever since starting school every single day she comes back with a new picture... on her clothes. This little ( it is quite little bottle) has saved me so much money in buying new uniforms that it's well worth the money. All you do it put some of the product on the stain for a bit, I then pat it with kitchen towel. It probably works on its own like that but I always then go over the stain with their Stain Devil one.You won't believe until you see it but it has removed some serious stains. They used to pain each others chests and would press the markers really well into the shirt until the stain comes out the other end. All that gone.Doesn't work on old stains.

Works ok but….
… despite using a whole bottle of this over repeated washes and following the instructions, I was unable to completely remove a biro stain on school uniform. It did help reduce the stain but disappointing that it didn’t get the pen totally out.

Helpful, but not a miracle.
Don't expect a miracle. I have found that this really does help remove ink, but doesn't completely dissolve it - by its nature, you just need a tiny amount of ink to make a dark mark, so if a pen spills its guts on your favourite clothes, you're going to need a lot of scrubbing just to reduce the mark to a point where it's borderline-visible. The ink mark won't go away completely. I have used this on three different ink spills - same results each time - the clothes are now wearable again but only on my "B list", they're not flawless any more. There's still some liquid left in the bottle so they're not stingy with the dose.

This doesn't work but HAIRSPRAY does.
So bought this thinking it will do the trick to get a big biro pen mark out of an all saints jacket I bought at a charity shop. This product did not work. What did work a treat however was using Hairspray. Spray hairspray onto the ink mark wait a few seconds for it to start lifting the ink, then start blotting for a few mins, you literally start seeing it disappear, spray again if need to and blot again I blotted with just some makeup eye remover pads, I also put a piece of kitchen roll, up the sleeve as so the hairspray didn't seep through the jacket. After blotting for 5mins or so. Spray the stain now with just water, blot again then hang out to dry. Biro pen gone completely I was amazed. Do a colourfast test first however just to make sure the colour in your material doesn't run. I've also used hairspray to get red hair dye out of a white jumper, again worked a treat, however never wash the item first, always use the hairspray first then wash the item otherwise it won't come out.

Shifted stubborn ink in the wash.
In my infinite wisdom I managed to leave a pen attached to my top when doing the washing. Threw the clothes in the dryer - didn’t notice at this point the pen issue. Shock result: pen ink on 3 items of clothing - worse than that - pen cost a fair bit of dollar and has been rendered useless. To be fair they didn’t state that it was waterproof. So got some of this, followed instructions and ink was still on clothing. Applied a second application as per instructions and ink still wasn’t shifting. Didn’t think it could harm any by throwing it back in a wash - this was within minutes of the applications so the garment was still wet with this product. (The instructions say to wash AFTER you have dabbed all the ink out but as I said it hadn’t removed it all.)Result: pen ink gone. So my advice is if it doesn’t look like the ink is coming out after the first or second application give it a wash with this product still on the clothing - I’m confident it will remove the ink in the wash.Maybe a slight adjustment to the instructions to say wash it again if the ink hasn’t quite shifted after 2 applications.NOTE: the ink had been on the garment for about a week before I got a chance to use this.

Rescued a linen skirt
When a water bottle leaked in my bag and spread ink from a pen inside the bag and then over a light coloured linen skirt, I thought the skirt was ruined. Most of the ink was still there after soaking and working some detergent into the stain. But the pen and ink stain remover worked a charm and completely removed the stain. It does cost quite a bit for such a small amount, but it didn't take a lot for a complete success. It was a fresh stain, which helped, but I am still very pleased with the result. (I've had a good result with the oil and sauces stain remover as well.)
