Very quiet compressor that's a quarter of the cost of an equivalent Machine Mart one - works well
If you've ever used a traditional compressor this will be a revelation. It's not silent (it's 65db) but it's very quiet and not a harsh noise - it hums away in the background. You can talk over it and still here the radio (and your air tools will be way noisier anyway). My previous compressor was 97db by comparison and you didn't want to be in the same room when it was on - sounded like a hurricane! This one holds pressure well (and has the convenience of two outlet pipes and shut-off taps) and has powered all my air tools without issue (drills, orbital sander, tyre inflator, air shears etc). It's as well made as any other Chinese compressor too (the vast majority are made overseas even if they claim to be made in UK - most 'UK made' ones use far east parts and are merely assembled here). When you consider that a similar spec Machine Mart compressor costs around £800, this is a lot of compressor for the money. Really impressed with it - can't comment on long-term durability, but I'm only using it for home use, so I'm sure it will be fine. Minor niggle is the short 240V lead, but it's hardly arduous digging out an extension lead.

Quiet but effective
Tidy little compressor with a small footprint. It gets up to pressure quite quickly and holds its pressure well, not loosing any air between use. Unlike some on here my cut out is spot on the 8 bars so that issue seemd to have been dealt with.It is very quiet and just sits there purring away when the motor kicks in. As to its life span, we will see.I use it to clean garden power tools (strimmers and chainsaws etc) using a blow gun which it does very well.Nice tool at a good price.

Maybe a little over priced , but has its good points !
Does what it says on the tin but;A couple of cons; The air pressure switch turns off and on below the 8 bar setting, so the pressure vessel is below 8 bar , more like 7 bar. A drop of 14psi (1 bar) makes a difference when pumping up tyres in the 70 to 80 psi range.Ok I can change the pressure settings, but should I have to ?The start capacitor casing is welded to the pressure tank. As this is the most likely item to fail, before most otherwise . So it's a hammer and chisel, or grinding job to get to, test and replace. Not the best thing for a pressure vessel.May not happen, but signals the end of the compressors life ? However the Capacitor failing on my previous compressor was the reason for buying this compressor.I have learnt;Takes quite a lot of restarts when pumping up van tyres to 70psi, (not helped by the lower on / off pressure.)Not to panic ! There was a euro connector supplied, but I did not see it until I undid the packet.I don't think that the connector is the "standard" PCL euro connector,Pro pointsQuiet ! Very compared with my previous small compressor, and quieter than some air brush compressors and has a larger tank.Portable but heavy, you might not want to take it with you as a tyre inflators unless you had to.Does everything I want it to, but more quietly.Wether it will last 25 years, like my HPC 100 compressor remains to be seen.Rgds

It's quiet! It's portable!
No gimmicks with this seller! I'm happy with their product and service. To spray a motor vehicle requires a (HVLP) high volume low pressure gun at around 25psi or a (LVLP) low volume low pressure gun at around 10psi (depending on manufacturer). This 1100W, 90-100 psi compressor operates during use when pressure drops to about 70psi. It's oil-free, nice, quiet and appears to be well made. The 241184 Silent Air Compressor is easy to move around on its two wheels, with handles correctly positioned for easier lifting. Took advise from another buyer who mentioned securing the hose to the handle with a zip tie to prevent causing stress and breaking the attachment connected to the compressor. It arrived with instructions, a compressor dust filter (water trap filter is purchased separately), a 1/4" BSP connector attached with air release valve: male threaded end ready to accept a female hose line. You have to attach and tighten the air filter yourself by hand, and the two wheels require a 14mm spanner (open ended or ring) and a medium to large sized cross-head screwdriver. Both of which are straightforward to assemble.

Much better than I expected!
After reading lots of bad reviews I was a bit worried that the compressor would arrive with bits missing and the built quality would be poor, how mistaken was I! It seems they must be taking notice of the complaints. The compressor came with a regulator and connections which fit my hose and accessories and the built looks of good quality. Lots of reviews mention no regulator or connectors so am guessing they must be new additions. The machine works perfectly and is a good size for everyday tasks such as spraying and nailing. It is extremely quiet, I have been speaking to people without raising my voice when it has been running, you barely notice it which am sure the neighbours will appreciate.Only time will tell on the quality of the parts but even if I had to buy every couple of years it would be worth it.
