It takes a lot for me to write a review usually however I need to comment on how effective these have been for me! I only get coldsores probably twice per year, every 6 months. Usually, I have a coldsore for a good 2 weeks before fully healing. I am not exaggerating when I say I have used these patches for 4 days and it’s nearly gone already! It has stopped me picking at it, it took the blister down the day after first use and it has stopped any irritation I would usually get. It also prevents the coldsore from scabbing so it heals it so much more hygienically and discretely and again, preventing picking at it. It feels funny on first use but after a few days, you get used to it and forget it’s even on. I found them quite easy to apply, you just have to press around the sides before peeling the rest of the tab off and then it sticks. The size of the patch could be a little bit smaller as I found I had to slightly stick it under my bottom lip to prevent the patch from being in my mouth where it may have not stuck for as long after drinking and eating. But this didn’t impact anything really as it was still subtle and when I did drink and eat, the patch stayed on. I am never going back to using creams again and will be buying these again in future!

A complete game changer! One week after the first tingle, my cold sore is almost healed. The patches are easy to apply, just make sure to follow the instructions. They speed up healing, reduce pain massively and conceal a lot of the gross parts of having a cold sore. The hardest part is placing the patch so it has good coverage but doesn’t sit where your lips meet, as this can cause the edge to lift. Drinking through a straw helped with longevity, and I ended up changing the patch after each meal. I went through 1 1/2 packs for one cold sore, so it’s worth stocking up if you haven’t used them before so you have plenty of spares.

Rather awkward to apply and they do have a tendency to come loose when wet. But there was plenty in the pack. They didn't seem to stop the cycle of the cold sore - I still had it about a week later. But what it did do was completely reduce the discomfort and stopped it getting dried out and cracking. It seemed to have a local anaesthetic effect - while they were attached, there was no itchy tingling or pain and you couldn't even see the sore. I would forget I had one. Much less messy than the usual creams - pop one on, and you're set for the rest of the day - or night. It would be 5 stars, if it wasn't for the faff of application. Hopefully I won't get a cold sore again for a while (this was the first in at least 20 years!), but I will use these again if I become afflicted again.

After experiencing coldsores for 30 years I've found these to be the best treatment. I wish I'd found them sooner! They keep the coldsore contained and stop it spreading, stop it blistering and scabbing, and reduce healing time. They stick well and often last 12 hours.

Once you get it on, works well. But, down side is application is so difficult. The patch does not come off with the applicator so you have to peel it off with your fingers. Not ideal

I’m not kidding when I say I never write reviews however these things are miracle workers. I got two coldsores on New Year’s Eve. I’m not talking the tingly sensation either, I mean full blown face ruiners by the end of the night. Had these delivered and put them on when I got home at about 2am from my bar shift. It is now the 2nd January and after wearing these back to back they’ve all but gone. Just in that scabby stage while I wait for more to turn up. They’re a little fiddly to get used to but I’m raving about these things!

Used these before and didn't rate them....but that's because I didn't follow the instructions and use 24 hours a day! 5 days in with a HUGE blister and it's almost gone! Seen it visibly shrink over the last 2 days with just a small blister left. No sign of scabbing either which is a huge win! They do work if you wear them constantly!! Only down side was that the patch was noticeable at first and would peel at first drink or eating anything, but that's because the blister was so huge! 2 days in and reduction in swelling you couldn't see the patch anymore. Will keep these in and apply at first tingle to hopefully keep any more at bay.

Good. It heals the wound in a week's time

I bought this product in June and am just trying it now. I failed to get the first one to stick, but on the second try I got it easily. Surprisingly discreet, and it lasted over 12 hours while accomodating normal behavior such as eating, yawning, and sleeping. I ate red sauce though which stained the edge of it, oops. I've already ordered more.

I would have given it 5 star if I had received the new version of the patch with the new applicator. I ordered two boxes (from Metropharma shipped by Amazon) and one was the new applicator and one was the old version (expiring in 9 months). The old version is horrible - it’s so hard to put on, the sticker stretches so much that once it’s glued it rolls back very quickly. Waste of money! The new version works super well and it’s easy to put on. The course of the blister is still about a week but at least you’re not suffering during that week! It’s quite well explained in the instruction booklet in a diagram. The sticker stays put for even longer than 12 hours. I would highly recommend the new version, but maybe not guaranteed from this seller.
