Behringer good value as always for home studio.
All very basic but great value for money. The simple to use compressor and EQs work well and do a fine job as a foundation for recording spiky vocals and synth. Effects are great, lots of them, sound good and simple to use. Sound quality good for the money. Haven't tried the mixer as an interface yet.

Great little all rounder...
Excellent value and a great sounding little live desk.Make sure it's ventilated as the effects section runs hot.

Good value
I pressed buy on a Amazon deal on wharehouse which meant I only paid 45 quid. For that sort of money I am more than satisfied with this little mixer. It does run hot, to the extent that I have ended up putting it on a laptop stand. This has improved airflow and puts it at an angle that is easier to work with.Noise levels are very acceptable for the price, and this is a cost effective way to get usb connectivity to your DAW, whilst adding a few filters/ effects on the way in. It really does everything that I need in a simple home studio set up. Apart from the hot running (and I can see why you don't want a fan in the mix), this looks built to last. In fact it has made me look again at the whole range, picking up a couple of very cheap C1 mics to add some room ambience to my set up. I can't quite believe how cheap but effective this audio equipment is these days.

Awesome little mixer
I bought this mixer to replace my older oneafter only a day I'm in *love*it works very well and has very little (if any) hiss or other noiseso far I've built this little list of pros and consPROs 12 inputs (well 8 are L & R channels are counted as 1 each) USB works with Linux (Debian Wheezy, KDE) out of the box FX processer built in for real time effects Small form factor considering number of inputs and outputs USB "sound card" built in to the mixer for input and output volume faders are nice and smooth feels well-made and sturdyCONs ***Not*** a UK plug on the PSU needs a "shaver adaptor" Runs a little hot on right hand side No manual included in the box (manual on website) unless viewed from above the numbers on the FX counter are hard to see List of FX are not in the Box only in the manual on the website

Great value for money, some flaws
I like Behringer gear and I have quite a bit. For those not aware, they started of supplying the parts used by many other manufacturers. If you wonder why so many mixers have pretty much the same spec...Behringer.However Behringer now produce their own products at a pice point. And here lies the problem some of the build is not great.1) The case is not square and the mixer rocks - enough for my mic to pick it up. I thought this could be my desk so Intried it an extremely flat worktop. I returned it. The replacement exhibited by the same problem but not quite so bad. This can easily be fixed by a couple of felt feet.2) The power connector is not particularly tight. It is pretty easy dislodge and should fit tighter.3) No power switch. The mixer runs quite hot and the only way to turn it of is pulling the power lead or the mains.. As the power connector is not solid, I would wonder if I'll make it worse. The good1) It seems pretty quiet2) The built in effects are ok3) it feels pretty robust4) it's low profile means it comfortably sits under my desk shelf, especially with right angle connectors.5) it has a lot of functionality on the mic channelsIf you can live with the problems, or they are not relevant for you, then I'd recommend it. You might want some felt feet for the front.

Amazing Quality For The Price.
Bought this to start doing podcasts. Absolutely love it. So easy to use, just plug and play using USB and your good to go. Phantom power on board is great to use my condenser mics and the on board effects are awesome. A real handy piece of kit for home recording. As well as podcasting I used it to record some acoustic covers and also some live videos and its really done its job. Amazed at the quality especially for the price. Highly recommended.

Nice little mixer
I like this little mixer, the sound is good, and the FX is good addition to be used as karaoke system. One thing to note is the 2-ch out is not the same as main out, even in the manual it says “wired in parallel to main out” or sth to that effect. It means it has the 12-channel input but NOT the 2-ch input. Kinda odd, because my old Mackie mixer would have 2-ch input mixed into 2-ch output. That means I have to buy a pair of 1/4-rca cable for this reason, but then it’s a good sounding versatile little mixer.

This overheating is a liability !
I saw several podcasters using this particular mixer on YouTube and went for one, I was happy to find one, 'just like new' and it arrived the next day.As far as the noise floor goes, that's fine, it's well made and sturdy but ... it wobbles on a flat surface which is where it will be mostly used. It rocks and scratches a decent desk.Yes, it works well BUT:This mixer overheats in a way I consider dangerous !! It has already stripped the varnish off my desk where it was placed ... it is possibly outside of HSE standards ?This particular unit is being handed to a HSE officer this week. There are no rubber feet to elevate it for the free flowing air to cool it., obviously there is no cooling fan. There is no on/off switchThe great shame is that basically it's a good mixer and has many useful features ... but it's dangerous !Sorry

For the price this is a great piece. Good sound
For the price this is a great piece. Good sound, and perfect for a small setup like a podcast. Only downfall is switching the FX is a little time consuming. But for the price it is great.

Absolut empfehlenswert.
