Brilliant little things.
These are worth their weight in gold. They are so handy and even cut paper perfectly. I know they're for the garden, but they're handy for so much more.

Small, but perfectly formed secateurs.
I have a small Bonsaii "forest" in the back garden, consisting of eight different trees. Since several of them are more than 100 years old (before you ask: no I didn't plant them myself :-), I am anxious to be nice to them and keep them healthy. Periodically they need branches pruned and occasionally to be removed from their pots and for their roots to be trimmed. As soon as these secateurs arrived I shot out into the garden to try them out. As she wasn't watching at the time, I tried them on my wife's fuchsia plants first :-), before attacking my very expensive Bonsaii trees. The secateurs are fairly small (165mm, about 6 inches in old money), but very sharp, so will be perfect for work on Bonsaii trees. I imagine they would also be good on many other small to medium sized plants (they certainly prune "she who must be obeyed" fuchsias OK).

Good product.
Does the job, instead of using our kitchen scissors. Having podgey fingers they are useful to me for getting in for dead heading and light foliage cutting. They are long enough to get into a plant without damaging it. The locking device is easy to use with your thumb, and these secateurs are certainly sharp enough to take the end off it.

Fantastic snippers!
I'm a professional florist and have been searching for the elusive pair of 'perfect scissors' for years. I tried a pair of these out last year, and can now conclude that I've finally found them! After a year of constant daily use, my first pair finally succumbed... The central spring gave up, and the plastic tab that you use to keep them closed broke off. The blades, however, were still perfect after about 300 days of abuse...They'd been subjected to what can only be described as 'extreme floristry' though!! Any normal person, based on this, would probably get several years out of these wonderful little snips. Perfect scissors for light to mid-weight stems... No problems with gardening duties at all, and the blades are skinny enough to get in to difficult spaces too. Team these with a pair of chunky secateurs for heavier work, and you're sorted. An absolute bargain at under £7 a pair.... I have 3 unopened packs stored in my workshop, as I'm terrified that they might stop making them one day before I'm ready to retire!!

A great sharp snipper!
Have been using these for two months now and am really impressed. They are small and therefore lightweight and easy to use, but don't underestimate their cutting power - they are very sharp! I mostly use them in the garden for deadheading and they provide a good clean cut across flowers and roses alike. They are light to carry and the spring holds them closed when not in use. They are smaller than secateurs so for me easier to handle.

These are my favourite garden scissors. I get into a mild panic if I can't find them.
My husband was unimpressed when I first handed him these. ' more garden scissors' he said. However when he tried them he said 'these are brilliant'. We now have 2 pairs, as there is a blind panic when we mislaid the first pair. These are the best snips for dead heading, and light pruning. Not suitable for heavy pruning. I love them for cutting flower stems, and dead heading roses. These are a must for any gardener and a great gift. The price is really excellent.

Small but very versatile secateurs
These secateurs are fantastic for intricate pruning but I use them for everything. They are light, easy to use and not too challenging for people with small hands or mild arthritic problems. I have had several pairs mainly because I keep losing them in the garden. I would recommend them to anyone but make a note of where you last put them!
