My teenage daughter unfortunately for her has the smallest bedroom in the house. This doesn’t leave her with a lot of room for a tv as the space is taken up with her bed, wardrobe, dressing table, drawers, mountains of clothes, etc so she needed something small and compact that was portable to be able to watch her DVDs on. This is the perfect DVD player! It’s small enough and compact enough that she can close the screen down and put it anywhere from in the top of one of her drawers to under her bed when not in use. Plus it’s light enough to carry around with her in her backpack for when we are travelling. The screen is really decent quality actually. We were surprised considering the price point. The sound doesn’t get very loud, which is probably the only real flaw to the system, but it’s loud enough for her to be able to hear, especially when she’s in her bedroom alone watching DVDs. The remote control is easy to use and seems quite sensitive so you don’t have to worry about being too close to the screen to be able to pause, play, rewind, etc at will. All in all I think it’s great value for money and we’d consider purchasing another in the future for our younger daughters for when travelling.

Love everything about it! It looks and feels good quality, the screen size is just right with a lovely clear picture. There's no noise from the disc when in use. The controls are simple to use, haven't needed the remote. I was worried about the volume after reading other reviews but I think it's definitely loud enough. I've been using it around the house so far watching my Friends box set. If you're after a good value portable dvd player I would recommend this one.

So Portable DVD player. Nice little item. Sleek black casing, manual controls, and all round nice looking player. Sound quality is good if a little quiet. Picture quality is good. No fuzziness or blind spots. I have given it four stars for 2 reasons. 1. The remote control is not for the player. It is for a TV which is a bit disappointing as every one likes to be able to jiggle things around to their own liking. Not sure if this is a genuine mistake or whether they are in all boxes.Maybe Seller could look into this and correct the mistakes. 2. I have had to buy external speakers. The sound quality for a car is about right as too loud and it can cause distractions to others. Using head phones it seems to be fine but for use in a bedroom or kitchen the speakers are needed.

Truly outstanding screen quality. I had to use the excellent remote to figure out how to prevent subtitles, though find it easy using the buttons on the device itself now. In a car I could imagine the sound could be a wee bit challenging if the engine or cab conversation is loud, though fine in a quiet room as I used it. Although with wired (wire attached) headphones are well equipped to block out any noise. I think there is a blue tooth device that can be bought to fit this device and convert it for use by cordless headphones. Brilliant DVD player in my opinion!!!!!

Bought this DVD player a few days ago, is brilliant. Has perfect battery life for up to 5-7 days and is very easy to use. the picture quality is very good, easy to see and visibly clear. the screen size is also big, and not too small. Plays dvds well even if they have scratches on them. Would recommend 5 out of 5 stars.

2nd Aug 2018 - I am amending my initial 2-star review (see below) as I was contacted by DB Power following the return of the original dvd player and offered a replacement unit, but due to us being on holiday this has taken a while to get sorted. The new unit we have received works perfectly, no problems with the internal battery or anything else, and I have been hugely impressed with the level of customer service displayed by the company. I am really pleased with this dvd player, the quality of sound and picture are great and the screen size is decent. This is ideal for travel and holidays, as well as for the kids at home if they wish to watch films in their bedrooms. An excellent product at a great price! 8th July 2018 - Sadly having to return this portable DVD player due to a fault with the internal battery. Worked perfectly while plugged into mains, good picture and sound quality, but wouldn’t switch on without mains supply despite charging overnight. Wanted for holidays and travel so decent battery life essential. Returning to Amazon for a refund on this occasion.

Great dvd. Easy to use. Got this for my mother as she is often in hospital with no access of a TV.

I think I must have been sent a dud! As the sound quality is very very poor, - which can be overcome by plugging in external speakers i guess, - the unit itself makes a lot of noise when playing DVDs, the lid to place DVDS in the unit constantly won't open, only after several attempts. And on a few occasions it's said "disc error" or "no dvd" but then on pressing stop and then the play button, the DVD actually plays. One positive is that the picture quality is quite good. If it only cost about £30 I could suffer these issues, but not for nearly £50!!!

Love my little portable dvd player. The only thing is I did have to buy a UK to Aus power outlet adapter lol just in case anyone else in Aus wants one.
