Easy to use.
Used for scenery work on my model railway. When mixed it has enough working time for you to mould into any shape.

Great for diorama novices! But for large scenes, you can make it yourself and save some money.
This is a mix of plaster of paris with some fibres (like thin shredded paper). When activated with water, it's easy to move into place and you can carve or sculpt it soon after it touch-dries. It is very easy to use if you're a beginner to model-making and dioramas. One bag doesn't give you a huge amount of coverage, but if you have a large landscape to make, I recommend placing some small pieces of polystyrene and covering them with the Sculptamold. That way, you're only using it for the surface layer. Alternatively, you could just finely shred some toilet paper and mix it with plaster of paris. Gives a pretty similar result if you're willing to go through the extra work.

Sculptamold moulds
The main use for this product is apparently for making casts of faces and pregnant bellies, but is great for any modelling use. The bag contains a mix of fine fibre and plaster and only needs 1 part of water mixed with two parts sculptamold. Many do not use tools to mould the product, but fingers. However, for railway scenery, I always use artists' tools. The result does harden solidly, but tiny bits might flake off easily, probably as with any plaster product. Does not shrink or crack, and takes paint or scenery like static grass easily. Can be a little temperamental depending on the mix of water, and sculpting would need a slightly dryer mix. Can get small holes appear when dry, and very fine work may be difficult as it may be become a little lumpy - but fine for most purposes.

Just the thing for Diorama builders.
Great product. Easy to use and a boon to anyone making dioramas. Simply place the desired amount in a tub and add water. The more water, the thinner it will be.

Expensive but nifty
Although you can make something similar, Sculptamold is lovely stuff to mix and use. Only mix small quantities if you’re working on a model/diorama etc. Once mixed it will have a uniform white colour. Also if you like you can burnish the drying surface with something like the back of a metal spoon to get a smoother finish.

This works well
Strange substance but works really well. It has fibres added so it works best when you use your hands to smooth rather than trying to use tools. Sets quite quickly, although it takes a while to dry out completely - this maybe because I was using it in my unheated shed. Provides a good firm base like polyfilla but is much lighter. Takes acrylic paint well. Really pleased

Not as good as others.
This is the first time I've used this product and maybe it was me and I didn't mix it correctly, although I thought I did. But it took 2 1/2 days to dry and I didn't like the finish of it. Prefer other methods to do scenics.

Great
Mixing is a dream. Was concerned pack would not have enough for my project but it was just right.
