Will not work with any other labels!!
These printers were much better Before. The ease of use is gone. I have boxes of labels from other manufacturers that work in the 450, but not on any new dymos. Waste of time and money. Wish these companies would leave things alone

Will not accept generic off brand labels. Disappointing. Dymo lost a longtime customer with this.
Would have been great but it would not use the labels I already had on hand from an older unit. I read further that you MUST use labels from demo for it to work correctly, I use generic labels, so it wasn’t for me.

Best label printer--no more buying ink

excellent product, but it is only work with DYMO branded labels. Also, I donot know where to buy DYMO branded labels to work with 550 model. I bought DYMO labels from amazon but It doesnot work at all. Can someone know where to buy DYMO branded label to work 550 model?

Works as needed but only accepts expensive DYMO branded labels
it is a good printer and works as expected. My only issue with this printer is DYMO has made the new printers where they will only accept expensive DYMO branded labels which gets expensive when labeling in manufacturing environment. Each roll has an RFID tag inside that reads the size of label you are using, the count of remaining labels on the roll, and if you try to use off brand labels without RFID tag the printer will not work. Wish I would have bought the LabelWriter450 like we use in other parts of our company.
