Very impressed
My usual primer was discontinued so I spent ages looking for one that would be as good. I read the good reviews on this one and it seems to have all the benefits I need for my skin type which is combination and open pores. Decided to give this a go and it does not disappoint! You only need a small amount as it goes a long way. I can't describe the feeling as it goes on my skin but it's a lovely smooth silky feel and drys Matt. Hides my pores and keeps my foundation in place all day! I'm so pleased with this product and hope it doesn't get discontinued like everything seems to when it works well - fingers crossed!

I guess my skin would be described as normal/dry but not dry in the sense of like patches of dry skin
I'm going to describe my skin type in case it helps anyone else thinking of trying this. I guess my skin would be described as normal/dry but not dry in the sense of like patches of dry skin...more in that it feels tight a lot of the time so I'm more inclined to describe it as dehydrated. I also have sensitive skin and although I don't suffer from spots or breakouts I will get an odd red blemish if I am sensitive or allergic to an ingredient or product. I'm also in my mid 40's so do have a few wee fine lines so am super careful not to use anything that will settle into them or highlight them. Ok that's out of the way now I really wanted to try this...I have the Benefit Pore Professional and I have read that this is a dupe for that. The BPP works great but I'm not crazy about the price as I wear a full face of make up every day so thought this will be a great cost effective replacement if it works.I have found this also has that silicone feel and a little goes a long way and I have found the best results from this hav been achieved when rather than applying it like a moisturiser I first concentrate on the areas I feel need it first...I have a few enlarged pores around my nose and of course the fine lines around the corners of my eyes so I take a little and press it into these areas gently...sort of like filling in the pores and lines and then blend out from these areas to lightly cover the rest of my face. This method of applying it works so well for me and it does give the impression of blurring out those lines and pores and even before applying my foundation my skin is already looking and feeling smooth. Using this as a base has also cut in half how much foundation I used to apply....instead of 2~3 pumps I only need to use 1~2 at most, foundation applies so beautifully and using this primer I have been able to achieve a flawless and smooth face which is every bit as good as using the BPP. My face looks even and I don't get that tight, dry feeling throughout the day so I think its also helping to lock in my serum and moisturiser. I don't need to touch up during the day and blusher/bronzer are still in place. I'm enjoying this primer very much...if the silicone feel doesn't bother you I'd give it a try if you are thinking about it, just remember a little goes a long way. I'm not sure how this would control oil shine if you have oily skin though...I can imagine it would give some oil control. I have used many primers including Laura mercier, Clarins, BPP, etc and this works brilliantly for me so I'd definitely recommend trying it especially if you have a similar skin type. Hope this helps someone!. :-)

Good quality
I wanted a change from my ordinary brand and the reviews for this are very good. It's affordable enough to try and not worry if it's not ideal.Thankfully it's good!I used a small amount (the tube is small but you really don't need much each time), and apply it, wait a couple of minutes then put foundation on.It helps even pores etc, so you have a smoother finish. No irritation, no mess, no faff.I'm pleased with it so far. If it helps, I'm mid 50s.Happy to recommend.

Not for me
Personally don’t like it. It didn’t do nothing but made my face greasy

Nice Blur Cream
I really like this blur cream, the price is good so value for money, obviously you can get more expensive blur creams but I am not disappointed with this one. It smooths your skin as a blur cream should and leaves the skin feeling silky and smooth (and I am 61) The tube is not big but you only need a little at a time... I would buy again when needed

I bought this for my 80 yr old mum.
My mum uses this and is very impressed with how well it works for her. She likes her face to be matt looking, also to disguise her enlarged pores. The clear looking gel goes on so smoothly & you only require a very small amount. It leaves the skin dewy looking without being obvious to see.The results are just what my mum wanted. Both she & I used Avon for years but my Avon lady stopped coming round.I know it's possible to order online, however there is a delivery charge unless spending over a certain amount 🤔.This make is available in most supermarkets or chemist's. The cost is also very fair unlike a lot of primers out on the high street. We will both be using this make again. My mum would recommend this product 👌.

Smooth Operator
My mother used Oil of Ulay (known as Ulan in other countries), then in the 1990s, the manufacturers unified the brand under one global name – Olay. Back in my mum’s day, Ulay and Ponds were among only a few low-cost face creams on the market. Now there are so many skin care products; how do you choose which one to buy? I stumbled across Maybelline’s Baby Skin Pore Eraser Matte Primer by accident. I had been Googling skin care products and a blog dropped into my news feed. It had rave reviews, so I thought I’d give it a go and was pleasantly surprised. You just need a small amount and it glides on your skin, leaving a smooth non-too-greasy base to apply foundation without pulling or stretching the skin. It goes a long way and leaves your face feeling smooth. Although I like it a lot, it only gets four stars because I cannot say I have noticed my pores being erased, but it’s fab as a primer.
