Great item
Great sound and great condition my item was in when it arrived. Thanks to Paul from Longbridge used video and audio shop on Amazon market place.

At £90 it's great
Firstly of course it's Bose, so you know it'll sound great. It's not stereo but that's the price you pay for small size. Saying that, it's got great depth of sound so no great issue. My version is the Black one, why the colours are worth 60% more who knows. I think that the battery power is OK, though I've never played it for more than 3 hours straight. My only concern is the buttons. While they perform perfectly, the covering skin feels like it won't last for years. Obviously that I can't judge fairly yet. Summary is, I'm happy for the price, but I wouldn't pay the £140 for a different colour.

So far, so (extremely) good!
Pondered for days before deciding to buy this without hearing it (I know!) But well pleased - the sound is unbelievable for the size, with plenty of bass (but not too much) and nice detail in all the other frequencies. I would imagine the more expensive Bose (can't think of the name, but it's around £169.95) might sound even better, but it's not as waterproof as this, also it's a bit bigger. I can see us being comfortable taking this to the beach, or by the side of the pool, without worrying too much about it getting splashed, or rained on. O.K. you can't throw it into the pool & expect it to still work, like some other speakers, but I can't really think when that would happen anyway . Got it working in a couple of minutes, and so far have paired it with my iPod, my Android 'phone, and my iMac, all without any difficulty. Not sure about the voice (which sounds like a female Stephen Hawkings - no disrespect meant) but I suppose it is helpful, as it tells you the charge level in the battery, and also when you're paired (and with what) So all-in-all, I'm thrilled with it. Obviously, I've only had it for one day, so no idea about reliability yet, but most of the reviews I've read didn't seem to have a problem in that area, so I'm hoping I'll still be this happy in a year or two

... for sometime now in my room and am still amazed when I play anything through it
I have been using a BOSE Soundlink Mini ii for sometime now in my room and am still amazed when I play anything through it. So much so that I was looking to buy another for in the bedroom to save me carrying it around and relinking it to different devices. They are no longer available, so I bought this instead. Glad I did. I spent almost as much time unpacking it as setting it up.. Doddle. It sounds great straight out of the box, and this will get even better as it runs in. It doesn't have quite the depth or separation between the ranges that the Mini has, but then the Mini cost a lot more. The Color is weighty and well built and a really engaging listen. If I need another speaker I will buy this model again without hesitation. One thing I have found is that the Mini sounds best with its' back four to six inches from a wall (it projects sound backward as well as forward) whereas the Color comes into it's own in free space (it projects sound forward mainly). Both however will benefit from not sitting directly on wood or melamine (shelves, desks etc), although glass is good. Update - the Soundlink 11 is back on the market so I bought another. Son now has the Color and he's over the moon with the sound and that he can take it into the shower room as it is water resistant.

Good speaker, but depends on what you prioritise
The positives. Great sound quality. Crisp and clear, whether you’re listening to something upbeat or mellow. Bluetooth connections are definitely smoother than I’ve experienced with other speakers (e.g., Anker soundcore). It’s a subtle thing but can be very frustrating when you’re struggling to connect the speaker to a device that’s already paired and was just working fine. Been using it for several months and no issues so far, seems pretty durable. The negatives. Battery life is less than other Bluetooth speakers I’ve used (again, Anker soundcore is my point of reference). If you’re listening at >80% volume starting on full charge, you’ll likely only get somewhere between 5-7 hours of playback. A small positive is that charging is reasonably fast (full charge takes around 2 hours). Because of the upright shape of the speaker, it’s also less balanced than speakers that are shorter with a wider base, and therefore easier to knock over. Overall, it’s a good speaker. If you value sound quality more than battery life, I would recommend it. With that said, I got it during the Bose sale and wouldn’t pay full price for it.

A lovely bit of kit!
This is possibly the best thing I've bought for myself in the last couple of years (other than jelly babies and gin, of course). My little blue Bose speaker is in constant use upstairs or when I'm working in the garage or garden (I have a Panasonic Ottave in my main downstairs living area) while I play music, news or history programmes on BBC Sounds via bluetooth. Music purists might find the Bose a bit too bass-ey but it doesn't bother me. The system so far has coped well with the volume I play stuff at. The unit is a chunky but not unwieldy size, a reassuringly solid handful. The rubberised coating is very tactile. If I have any grumble it is that it doesn't 'pair' automatically with my smartphone like my Ottava does, so I have to select the unit from the phone when I've been off doing other stuff. But it only takes a few seconds so it's a very minor inconvenience. Overall, I'd thoroughly recommend this little speaker.

WoW!
I think I have been in a time warp. I don’t know why I had not purchased this sooner. A game changer. I’ve previous bought cheaper version that only last 2-6 months. It’s still early days with this one. The sound quality is perfect. Not too bassy or tinny. The Encanto sound track really comes as live when played through this. We have a b and o system in the car and the sound quality is very similar, obviously on a smaller scale. One of the best birthday money buys I’ve made in a long time.

As you would expect from Bose, this unit does not disappoint. This is that perfect unit that is light weight and portable yet delivers that amazing BOSE sound. Additionally, it fairs very well on Battery life and has a decent blue-tooth range. You can play music from your phone for at least 6 hours straight on a full charge. I believe it can play it for longer if run on lower volume. It is also convenient that it can be charged via USB. I ordered an aftermarket travel case for it for an additional $20 which I think is well worth it. If you are on the fence about buying this, go for it you won't be disappointing.
