Q: Please answer ONLY if your pan's lining failed: did you use cooking spray on it? Or did it fail for some other reason? (Need experiences, not advice.)

I did NOT use cooking spray or the dishwasher nor even the oven. It was hand washed and then wiped down with a bit of grape seed oil before the first use. The coating started to bubble and come off as I was making hash browns in butter. There was also a strong smell of something resembling ammonia being given off. Give the low smoke point of butter there is no way I could have over heated the pan. Since I was past the return date AND the vendor insisted that I had abused the product I had to throw away a $200 pan

Q: It is PFOA-free, but how about the PTFE?

It does have PTFE, or Teflon, but is perfectly safe in normal use. If its overheated(500+ degrees F) it can give off fumes that cause flu like symptoms, but no long term effects. If you're frequently overheating your pans, you have other things to worry about. If you have questions, I encourage you to do your research, but put more weight in the advice from trusted sources such as the American Cancer Society, FDA, etc,(actual scientists) rather than advocacy groups.

Q: What is the diameter of the bottom? I assume the top is 10 and the bottom is closer to 9. Thanks!

The inside opening diameter is 10 inches. The outer dimension is 10 1/2 inches. The flat surface on the underside is roughly 7 3/8 inches.

Yes, it is induction capable. I own one and enjoy it a lot. I have induction stove.
