Flight School

It’s hard to tell book sizes/quality via Amazon but this one was great. A cute and good bedtime length story. It’s a sturdy board book you don’t have to worry about a toddler ripping or breaking.

This is such a cute little book with gorgeous illustrations. It’s short and sweet with a wonderful message about perseverance despite the odds. One of my daughter’s favorite books!

The delightful drawings lead readers through the adventures of a protagonist who wants to do the impossible and become what he was not meant to be. By the end he is so satisfied with the compromise his friends have arranged for him that he wants them to do the same for some even more unlikely characters. No one gives up and everyone wins in the end--except perhaps the kind and over-zealous flight school instructors. Parents and children can talk about what they are likely to do now. (Maybe they can open a balloon school?)

"I was hatched to fly ... when do classes start?" Absolutely loved this story with it's combination of optimism and determination. Great launch text for teaching perseverance and growth mindset. Cute pictures all along and a lovely twist at the end.

As we start a new year, we have hopes and dreams about what will happen. While we may not reach or conquer each and every goal, it shouldn’t stop us from trying or dreaming. This book has such a sweet message about not giving up on your dreams! It would be a great book to share when teaching about a growth mindset, too!⁣

I (and my mother) laughed out loud at this funny and heartwarming tale of a penguin who wishes to learn to fly and does not give up despite the odds being stacked against him!

空を飛びたいペンギンのお話です。 飛び方を教えてくれるflight schoolに入学しますが、同級生たちが飛べるようになる中、ペンギンだけ飛べません。 意気消沈して帰宅しようとしたペンギンに対し、妙案を思いつく先生たち。 ペンギンに羽をくくりつけ、そして、紐を先生が引っ張ることで空を飛ばせてあげます。 夢が叶って大喜びで帰宅したペンギン。まもなく、空を飛びたい友達のダチョウを連れて戻ってきました。 と言う、ストーリーなのですが。 飛びたくて頑張るペンギンの気持ちになりきるのでしょう。一喜一憂しながら子供はのめり込んでいました。飛べた時は拍手喝采。 英語としてはそこまで難しくなく、読みやすいです。絵が語ってくれます。

Tamaño algo pequeño. Una lástima, porque el contenido está bien para el aula de inglés.

This book is super cute and has a great message about not letting anyone stop you from following your dreams. With hard work and creativity, anyone can be anything.
