My 9-year-old twins are obsessed
We've got 9-year-old twins, we live in Silicon Valley, and we work in tech. I read ALL the kid watch reviews before I bought these, and here's the thing: the "good-quality" watches reviewed by adults are really for the adults -- they offer GPS tracking on your child and some have calling and texting. Great. Excellent for safety, etc.... Nice idea for ME, but my kids didn't want those. They wanted watches that let them play games, take photos, play music - a wrist "activity center" if you will. If this is what your kid is after, then this one is a winner. They love them. This watch does not get great reviews on tech review sites, but my kids chose these for their birthday themselves and are in love with them. Kurio watch users can text one another, and if you have an Android device yourself, apparently texting works through the Kurio app so you can also communicate with them (unfortunately I have an iPhone). I thought it was worth putting this review out there because there were none like it when I was shopping so I just took a chance one these and it worked out. I'll have to get something else for GPS tracking, but for what my kids were looking for, thumbs-up.

I like it but the voice quality is not that clear ...
I like it but the voice quality is not that clear when you get a phone call. I bought this for my granddaughter for Christmas and she wears it to school and can call her mother it she needs to or her mother can text her without distracting her. The phone only works it you bluetooth it to your phone and can only have one device bluetooth to the phone at a time. Connectivity is a problem sometimes; however, I recommend it if you don't want your child to carry her cell phone to school.

I’d recommend getting a second hand 3rd gen Apple Watch instead
If you can afford and find a second hand third gen Apple Watch, i think the kids will get a better experience and have more fun with it than this. It just ends up sitting on the shelf most of the time.

I was a little disappointed at the quality of the pictures
I bought two and they do work as they say. I was a little disappointed at the quality of the pictures, the volume is not high enough when picking up a call and how the screen doesn't touch where I meant to touch sometimes. Other than that, my girls are having so much fun with them.

Not worth what it is selling for....
We bought this because of the hype, it was for my almost 6 year old daughter. She shows almost no interest in it and it just sits with no love. We tried to get my 4 year old to play with it and he just tried to take some videos and it wasn't good quality. we can't connect it to my iphone and can not call. My ten year old played battleship with me a couple of times, but said he is all set. So we opened it on the New Year and used it that week a few times and it was just not worth $50 (Honestly, for my house it wasn't even worth half that much) We should have returned it and if we had the time sooner and didn't forget about it, we would have.

Steer clear.
My daughter has had this watch for about 5 days. Let me just say, if your kid does anything other than sit in a padded room with it, don't plan on it being able to withstand any kind of use. My daughter is very active as most 7 year Olds are and she was very happy to be able to purchase this watch with money she had saved up. The watch screen is so covered in scratches it's hardly usable although she's still happy with it. I noticed the watch said splashproof but that's definitely not the case, the camera is already fogged over and unusable due to condensation buildup behind the screen. Look elsewhere if you want a good kids watch. Also, it says it's able to be Bluetooth connected to a phone so that you can send messages back and forth but the problem with this is when you receive or make a phone call on your phone it comes through the watch too! Very inconvenient. The speaker is so quiet on the phone that calls are completely useless anyway.

It fit better for young girls because my 8 years old niece ...
It was not worth the hype, I bought two for my nieces since they kept asking for it. I think this item is a bit overpriced since it does not fulfill my expectation. It fit better for young girls because my 8 years old niece only touch it a couple times and she already got bored.
