3 Lb Spooled Hobby Came - 5/64" Round U Came

Love this stuff. I’m actually so mad I waited so long to buy in bulk. I was buying the little two pack rolls for years. Not only does this spool last forever, it’s soft so it stretches much easier—you can feel that magical moment it’s about to snap clearer than other hobby came I’ve previously used, which means less waste as it almost never breaks on me. Solder and patina also adhere better, and the finished product looks cleaner as a result! This product is now saved in my ‘small business’ list, and is gonna be a repeat purchase the second I run out!

Works great for small projects, it is easy to manipulate around curves, turns and twists. It cleans easily and if you use patina it goes on smoothly (colors evenly). The only problem i have with this item is the way it is shipped. I know it is on a spool but the weight of the hobby came and the softness is not protected by that spool. Putting that product in an envelope or any packaging that is bendable does not work. The last three spools I have ordered have been damaged, usually the first 2 or 3 layers are bent, smashed and parts have even come off the spool. It's a great price for the amount you get, but I hate having to throw away 30 inches or so because of the damage from shipping.

I am new to stained glass and so far just make sun catchers. I wanted to try some hobby came and ordered some but ordered the wrong thing. Lol I tried again and got this. It was SOOO easy to stretch and use in my piece. It looks great! I will probably use this on all my pieces. Great finishing touch.

I don’t know what they mixed this with to make it so horrible but it’s almost gooey. It stretches easily then breaks. It has no strength once stretched. I tried but it’s so flimsy and I can peel back from glass pieces. Absolute waste of money and labor now that I’m having to remake pieces with better came.

The spooled hobby came is so much easier to work with, less waste and incredibly lower in price. Will always buy it in this form from now on!!!!!!

I use a lot of hobby came in my work, so I decided instead of buying short lengths I would buy a spool. I do love how it is wrapped on the spool. I do feel that this needs stretching a little more than the shorter lengths
