Best device !!
This thing is the Best!! After years of using buckets to change my fish tank water I bought this and now it’s a breeze to empty and refill it. I can even do it on my own. I just had to buy a small adapter for my shower sprayer and I can connect the hose to it and after I empty the tank I refill it in minutes, 20 gallon!

So very convenient.
I've semi-recently gotten back into fish keeping and initially I was fine with lugging 5 gallon buckets to and from the tank. The problem is that it gets pretty old pretty fast, for a number of reasons. Ranging from causing back problems to being hard to carefully pour into the tank. So I decided to look into getting a longer hose system so I could drain and refill with ease. Did a bunch of mulling around and finally decided to go with the Laifoo system. Largely because of the hose adapters just being convenient as all get out and it ended up fitting perfectly on my outlet. It also conveniently fits perfectly in the old five gallon bucket which works out great for storage and operation. As I place the bucket in the bath tub and drain into that so most of the detritus stays in the bucket and I empty that into the toilet. Which makes cleaning up the tub afterwards a lot easier. It is smaller than my old siphon which I was initially kinda iffy about but ultimately I really like. It drains a slower but has pretty darn good suction and the smaller size makes it a lot easier to maneuver around plants and decorations. So ultimately I think it's going to help me to keep my tank cleaner than my old siphon. Plus I'm not going to dread lugging around 5 gallon buckets full of water every time I go to clean my tanks. Instruction wise they where clear and concise but if you are remotely familiar with siphons and quick connects you likely won't need them. It's just a really simple and convenient system. The only thing I might add to this would be an inline ball valve to control the flow of water back into the tank Not because it's too fast or anything but because being able to shut off the water flow from the tank side would be convenient before you need to walk to another room to shut off the water at the source. Not that the flow into the tank is super fast, so it isn't likely to overflow in the time it takes you to walk into the other room to shut off the water. As it stands I had the second 5 gallon bucket at the tanks, so when they where full I just manually crimped the hose and put the siphon into the bucket while I went to shut off the water. After filling two tanks that way the bucket was only about half full. So in short save for maybe a ball valve, I'm loving this little system and I'm sure my fish will appreciate the additional attention it affords.

Careful not to tear out plastic size hole puncher out of pump!
Extremely excited about product due to 6 tank maintenance problems. At price cost I had hope for a miracle, given the high ratings product has received. Took filter off as directed to help suction flow. Worked well but felt it still too weak given size and length of product. Started really observing product. This is now why Im writing this review. I noticed at end cap pump. Inside, there was a clear plastic blockage that look like it wasn't suppose to be there, barely holding on yet blocking water way. I teared it out, (size of a hole puncher and now the pump isnt working. Becareful not to do this! I feel there should of been some warning. Now my product stopped sucking water. Sucks. I dont plan to buy another. If I do I do want something more powerful.

Works well one way
Fantastic for siphoning out water/cleaning gravel, but the attachment for refilling the aquarium with water is atrocious. Just leaks and sprays regardless of faucet type or pressure. The "quick connect" just isn't water tight. If you don't plan on refilling with this same siphon it's fine.

Made cleaning my tank soooo much easier!
I used this for the first time last night and it made cleaning my 20 gal tank so much easier and faster. I hated lugging my 2 gal bucket back and forth 8 times when I was cleaning the tank. I was able to use the siphon part really easily and quickly. The suction is not quite as good as the larger tube vacuum siphon I had prior but it was worth it to not run back and forth with buckets. Hooking this up to my sink for the fill was a little tricky. I found the instructions and pieces to be confusing. I couldn't get the filter/faucet part off my kitchen or bathroom sinks so wasn't able to use those. I was able to somehow get this hooked up to the hose that attaches to my handheld shower head although I had to remove a piece from that hose to get it to work. i'm not sure if it was set up correctly or not, but it worked and didn't leak so I considered it a win. This will 100% make cleaning my tank way less of a chore now.

Best. Siphon. EVER. Buy it.
I stopped cleaning my tanks just to write this review. Let me start by saying that this freaking thing changed my life. Forever. I’ve been using an old school basic suction hose attached to a 25’ garden hose to drain and fill my two 55 gallon tanks. I had to attach the garden hose with a crappy adapter I made from hardware store stuff and I would have to hook the hose to the shower head nozzle on the top floor of my house and run the hose down to my basement to fill the one tank. But this....this Laifoo siphon has the adapter-a REAL adapter-that fits onto my basement bathroom sink tap. The suction bulb, that also has a REAL adapter, means I don’t have to use my mouth to pull the water to to start the siphon and risk getting nasty old water in my mouth. And as for the adapters, they have a quick connect and quick release feature that is AMAZING. If you have tanks of any size, YOU NEED THIS SIPHON. Buy it now. And if you do things the old school way like I have for my entire life, you will cry tears of joy at how much easier this is to use. No more buckets. No more hardware store adapters. No more sucking moldy gross water into your mouth. The entire thing is lightweight and the hose is a lot more flexible than my old one, which is nice. The one negative thing I will say is that the plastic on the connections seems like it could be easy to crack if you’re not careful with it.
