I previously bought and use Sensibo to control my main AC in the living room (in wall unit) but this year added a portable AC in bedroom. Not having smart controls was very annoying but I didn’t want to spend $100+ on another Sensibo device. I stumbled across this and figured it was cheap enough to try.If you have used Sensibo just know the software side of this isn’t as polished but it does basically the same thing.I was able to set up IR control of a fan and AC in the same room and set up timers and smart functions. The cool part is these devices now are added to my Google home software (or SmartThings which is also great) and worked into my automation process such as turning off in morning when the lights come on or something like that.Tuya app is very bare bones but works fine. I didn’t find the setup process to be difficult but I already have a litter box and some lights that use the same software.Def useful and the price is right.

I found this tricky to setup and more difficult to operate.

Purchased these to control my ac's while I was away..worked for 1 day and then went offline and I was unable to continue to control my ac and had to rely on a neightbor. It wasn't my wifi;my cameras continued to work. Waste of money; Unreliable!

This is a must have for any Mini-split system or window ac unit that has a IR remote. Can be easily programmed to work as a thermostat and turn the unit on and off as needed with the Tuya or Smartlife app. Connect it to google or alexa and you have voice control over it. Easy to connect to the internet and small enough to hide just about anywhere.
