Daily Spellbook for the Good Witch: Quick, Simple, and Practical Magic for Every Day of the Year

So hey, I probably could've researched it a little better and maybe I'd have discovered that this book is the EXACT same content as The Daily Spell Journal, which I purchased at the same time.But in my defense:1. The format (daily spellbook vs. daily spell journal) is presented as being very different.2. The look of the two books is completely different.3. I shouldn't have to do research to learn that an author took the same content, added some lines to each page, and changed the look. I feel like I should be able to expect an author to state that upfront. Like, if you wanna reformat a book, fine. But at least tell your customers what you're doing. Otherwise, it feels like a money grab at best.All of those complaints aside, this is a lovely book. I do look forward to reading it and using it, and shall donate the journal version to a street library so someone else can benefit.

This book is lovely in appearance and is clearly written. But I don't have the money or space for random herbs not easily obtainable, I don't live in an area with fireflies, and can't easily access an ocean beach. For a newbie like myself, this just won't work, even as a reference. Alas, I am returning it.

I like that simple spells for every day. Sometimes I just want to connect with spellwork quick and simply.I just wish there was a glossary so I could look up specific spells quickly. With hundreds of spells in this book, there is no way to find particular ones. I may not want to do a ritual that has to do with finding a new job on June 18. I may need one that has to do with, idk, letting go of family baggage on that day, but I can't find it.

Pros: Great designs on both the cover and individual pages, very nice to look at. Simple spells for all kinds of needs, with easy-to-find ingredients. Many spells come with a neat little backstory.Cons: Lack of an index/table of contents makes it difficult to find spells for a specific purpose. Unless you want to make one yourself, or flip through the entire book to find what you need, you’ll definitely need to supplement with other books or web resources.

Bought this because a friend had and I am assisting her on this path. Cute book with simple spells. Most have ingredients needed without clear instructions on amounts required. Though each spell are laid out in a way, that you can inject yourself into them/making them your own.

It's fun to read the Daily "Spells". Very light reading.
