Amusing, but too short
As I prepare for my first trip to Canada this year, I'm reading as much Canadian "stuff" as I can. This book cracked me up. It's a fun mix of factoids, jokes, and slang. My only complaint is its brevity; I read this book in 30-45 minutes.Still, it is very entertaining and I am glad I read it.

Right on the money
I wanted to add this to my collection and found it to be fun to read, easy to understand and got my man interested in checking it out. Most of the book is about the culture and gives an excellent rundown of the things which are important to know like provinces and their locations in relation to each other and the maps. I loved the part about the way to apologize I am 100 per cent sure it will come in handy. What I also love is the Bonhomme and other characters the Bonhomme is mentioned in the parade. Other than that I would sum it up stating the movies that are made there and shows made me interested I really know more about the filming that goes on and it is really lovely and artistic. So when I went to BC as a kid I had my first experience there. When you want to research living in the area or to have fun this seems like a fine book to read to me. Just to let you know there are plenty of decent books about it but if you are interested in this subject then pick it up. I know it made me laugh and can't go wrong with that I needed this so much. Light read and very fun.

Looks so inviting these days!
A quick fun read for anyone who is curious about Canada, wants to be Canadian, or just wants to blend in with the locals when visiting.

Great but a little bit short
Nice book, a little bit short but really funny and interesting, I am a newcomer to this beautiful country and this book showed me a little bit more of the culture, you can read the whole thing in about 2 hours

Entertaining book - wish it was longer!
I enjoyed the wit in this book quite a bit. My only issue was that it was too short! I wish the authors had delved more deeply into Canadian culture, instead of just the surface level and humorous elements.

Very little info
This was a disappointment because there is so little to it. Very short.

Meh....
This booklet was interesting as far as it went, but content was lacking. On the other hand, it can be read in one sitting.

Why Not, Eh?
Enjoyable Read. It is campy, entertaining, and actually insightful. Lots of fun trivia.

Great gift idea!
This is a super cute book, a bit more for a gift or a joke rather than a book for people serious about becoming Canadian. As I am Canadian, some of the book was a bit too hokey, kind of playing up on many of the worn-out stereotypes of Canadians (igloos, lots of snow, etc etc) and doesn't really cover any reality of what Canadians are about beyond that. BUT, a fun read nonetheless and worth getting as a gift for someone interested in those goofy stereotypes and funny stories about what makes Canadians so Canadians.

Dated and slightly boring.
The title says it all. I thought this would be a quirky read being a Canadian away from home (England) but much I found this book dry, boring and supremely dated. A bit of nostalgia or historical reminiscing I could cope with but ... a recipe for moose stew? Get real. Not worth the money sorry. The two stars are for the funny little illustrations and the service provided by Amazon.

Funny gift
Little bit of humour for my cousin who was emigrating, arrived too late to gift so it’s on the way over there now

Great humorous primer for Canada
I'm hopelessly in love with Canada, so I just had to read this book as I, too, want to be Canadian. In true Canadian style, there's lots of "eh", hockey, moose and beavers bandied about, but obviously Canada is much more than those. It's a pretty cute little book, a humorous primer for those who are wannabe Canadians, like me.

Interesting read
Bought this for a friend before she moved to Canada. It's fairly thin, but seems to be a great read as she said it was very amusing and interesting and thoroughly enjoyed it.
