Fun project! Worth the work!
This was my first miniature build and it was fun! It was very overwhelming at first and took a while to get the hang of it, but don’t let it scare you away! I even attempted the lighting and unfortunately missed a step so I couldn’t get it to work, but I was proud of myself for actually getting the wires attached and working in the first step! Looking forward to building another just to get it lit. I think the directions were pretty well done, but could have been even better- more explanation or pictures- but they are pretty good for all of the fine detail. Looking at the assembly progression photos really helped me put it all together. I needed to use my fine point craft scissors for this one, and my needle nose pliers and definitely my hot glue gun for some of the parts, so be prepared for that. This thing is so cute and fits perfectly on any shelf or mantel! I’m excited to display mine and show everyone all the tiny little things I built! I’d say the hardest part was getting the wires to bend in the correct ways- my table, chairs, and barstools all came out super wonky because of the wire not bending just right. I guess that’s the difference between a beginner and a professional! But I’m definitely a beginner and thought this whole thing was very doable. Just takes a lot of time and patience. It probably took my 15 ish hours maybe?? That’s a total guess. Anyway, such a fun project!! Worth the work!

So much fun!
This was absolutely a total blast to build! I did make a couple mistakes but it was really easy to fix. You do need to be firm but gentle when seating parts together as some pieces are fragile. For example the White Rabbit's ears. I almost broke them as I was applying pressure to slot him in place when I heard some cracking and immediately stopped and used his feet to press down. Thankfully nothing snapped and everything looks so cute!

The perfect craft to pass time! Super cute design!
Really cute design and I loved putting it on my bookshelf!! Me and my friend worked on it for about a month to finish building it. For the most part, it has been super fun, but sometimes the instructions were lacking, so it took us a bit of time to figure everything out. The final build looks awesome and it is super high quality! Highly recommend for all my fellow book nerds.

Not for the faint of heart
This is my third miniature from Rolife and although I completed it, I definitely felt like I bit off more than I could chew. The finished product is GORGEOUS and I am SO happy that I stuck with it. I had to make some adjustments so my photos are a bit different than what the finished product should look like. The main difference is it's missing the three-level shelf that is supposed to be in the back corner. This piece was impossible to build. The metal wire that is used as the foundation is so soft that when I finally gave up, I was able to wad it up into a ball just as easily as I would a piece of paper (photo included as proof). I have a really hard time believing that the designer of this kit built the same shelf with the same materials supplied. The heat shrink provided barely shrinks which adds to the difficulty of the shelf build. Another issue I had with this kit is the instructions border on laughable. If you're okay with shoddy, unclear photos accompanying vague instructions, you'll be just fine. Otherwise, a lot of the builds are trial and error (looking at you, roses!). There are 35 flowers/plants to assemble and the material used for a fair amount of them is what can only be described as crepe paper-ish. With all this being said, if you have approximately 40 hours of time that you would like to spend on a rewarding project, this is a good choice. It really is beautiful and you'll finish it feeling like any future miniatures will be a piece of cake 😊 I want to also add that I was missing the glue and paint the kit says is provided. I contacted the seller and it was explained that this is due to customs regulations and some items need to be provided by the buyer. Totally understandable and the seller was very prompt in responding!

Nice kit, easy to follow instructions but very involved!
This is my fourth kit, I’m doing the flower shop and other than a kit that I modified I’d say this one is the most involved. There is a lot of wire furniture and flowers, both are very detailed and I realized I’m not a fan of trying to make things out of wire. But after it is all done I do think it will be very cute especially because the more pieces and more to look at really makes them fun to look at.

FUN and Complete
I was hoping for more of a challenge, but it was still enjoyable.

A little disappointed, but still a good toy
I seldom give review under 3 stars, but this time … Well, the product itself is cute and delicate. I give 3 stars for that. It was a gift for my mother. 1) The package arrived broken. It was so embarrassing for a gift with broken package. Fortunately, it was for my mother, not for someone else. She's okay with that as long as nothing is broken inside. 2) The light is not working. My father doubted it might be something wrong with the circuit board. He used to be an electrician. So, he made a new connection to power and added one more Light bulb as additional light source. 3) The acrylic display case dust cover (bundle with this toy) doesn’t fit very well. When I push one side down, the other side will tilt up. We spent an hour try to adjust the angle, switch sides … didn’t work. At the end, my father cut off the notch a little bit to make it more fit. But still not perfectly fit. You can see the gap on top and the door is easy to fall out.

I've done other kits like this, and compared to those, this kit is not great. The paper components are printed on a home-quality printer. Even the paper that goes on as flooring is this low quality print job. Also the instructions are very hard to understand, and in some cases do not show necessary steps, so you have to guess how to do it. Also the paint is very thin and you can't get the right colour no matter how many coats you do. I did six coats of green and then gave up.

Carl’s fruit shop is definitely not for those new to Rolife, or miniature house kits. With almost 20 pages of directions to complete the build, including gluing the stems on about 80 beads to act as fruit, It can sometimes be difficult to understand the instructions as most will show a single angle photo with the phrase “glue as shown”. The glue can leave lumps when putting on the flooring or decorative paper as it’s quite thick but, also takes awhile to fully dry and even then remains flexible which can be frustrating for some of the super small details that require you to hold them in place until fully dry. I highly recommend buying super glue or a fast drying glue to save you some time and hassle as well as a glue stick for the paper bits. Don’t go into this with the idea you’ll make an exact perfect model sometimes these small pieces break and you have to wing it. All in all it’s a cute model that makes for a good project to focus on for a week or two :).

I loved assembling this diorama! This is one of the best product lines I've encountered. Really high quality, clear instructions, so much fun!
