Guardian: Zhen Hun (Novel) Vol. 1 Paperback – August 29, 2023

I was slightly doubtful for the first five pages, but after that I was hooked. The characters are so much more than they first appear, and their relationships are deep and sometimes difficult. There's a lot of intriguing mystery and fascinating glimpses into Chinese folklore and beliefs. I was sad when it ended, not just for the difficulties the two main characters faced, but because I was truly enjoying the book. The next book in the series is coming out in three months and I am going to pre-order it today. I recommend this book to anyone who enjoys unique and complex romance.

I love this story so much and I am incredibly happy to finally be able to read the books with the official translation. I found this thanks to the web series which in my opinion was amazing even though it was a bromance. Since the series came out I have been a fan. I love the characters very much. They are so well written!! By the way, Shen Wei is the love of my life(≧∀≦)

I just finished reading book 1, and I absolutely loved it. I love the story so far, and the characters are fun. Those of you that like the supernatural will like this, (although it isn’t scary). And Seven Seas put out yet another quality product! I can’t wait for book 2 to be released so it too can be added to my ever-expanding collection of danmei!

Guardian is a story that combines action, comedy, mystery, and romance. The first book or portion of the novel is a slow-burn, but towards the end, the romantic tension between the leads explodes. This is my first novel by Priest, and I'm curious to see where the rest of the story goes.

BL with beautiful art work. They get the same artist to do the artwork in the second book for the cover but not the inside art which for me was unfortunate. I think the third volume will have my favorite artist doing everything. This was my favorite cover because I liked the short hair

Such a good series. I wish I could read it for the first time again. After I finished this book I ran to Barnes n nobles that same day to get the other two.

So far I’m really into this story, I love that there’s an actual plot with some mystery surrounding one of the main characters. I also bought the second volume because I know I’ll want to jump right in when I finish this one.

This is so well written that it keeps you captivated throughout. Although I purchased & pre-ordered all 3 volumes, I also plan to purchase the physical copies as well. I’ve read some of Priest’s other works & they never disappoint! Ignore any reviewers phobic comments for this being Danmei.
