All the Mowgli Stories Hardcover – May 16, 2017

After purchasing one for a friend, I had to buy one for myself. It is a well made, very cute little book that I will cherish as much as my late 1800's copy. It is certainly more compact, yet readable.

I am more than happy with this purchase of the Mowgli Stories. The book is small enough to be kept in my backpack or purse. The font is easy to read on the beautiful paper it is printed on. Though some reviews have indicated unhappiness with the pictures not being in color, I myself am more than delighted with them. I am enjoying reading this story again and especially enjoying holding this lovely book in my hands. I would definitely consider buying this book again for a gift.

The Mowgli stories are timeless although written in the times of the Raj in India and given absolutely atrocious treatment by Disney ..they are glorious free from any cheap novel sentimentality ,free of the cliches of the Maugham books but are full of delicious english words and phrases.

Good voice actors, good background music and effects. Brought this on a road trip, and kids loved it. Much more complex and thought-provoking than the Disney version.

This is a reprint of the delightful original title published in 1933. It has been retypeset but contains the original illustrations. Macmillian's little pocket sized hardcovers are extremely well made and perfect for carrying in a pocket or handbag.

The book is of very nice quality and is worth the price. However, I did not realize it was a smaller book with smaller text (keep those reader-glasses handy!). You may want this size of book as it could be handy to fit in a purse, cargo pocket, etc., so I'm posting this review just to highlight the book's reduced size.

This telling is spirited, relaxing, entertaining and everything I could have imagined from a production with Bill Bailey. It’s everything I could have wanted from one of my favorite Kipling stories.

Excellent listen loved all the sound effects and different voices. Very enjoyable.
