The lightweight composite has 75% greater tensile strength than aluminum.
Aluminum guards or thick wall pipes will not distribute impacts as well and typically will destroy the pipe spigot before the pipe.

The first E Line guard I used was about .200" thick the LAST one is about .120". It will be the last one. Change the description the carbon fiber pipe decal.
