The product is a prosumer grade. It's high quality and more expensive than the consumer grade alternatives. Installation takes longer as it requires hard wiring - either using cables provided or PoE over RJ-45 (better route). If you don't have the right drill, long bits and cable ducting tools, hire an installer. The product works perfectly once setup, but does require experience of the product or IT skills. Benefits of this product over others - no ongoing costs, no batteries to charge and appears to work much faster than other door bell devices. Might be more suited to an office as it's effectively an intercom, not a door bell. Very good picture quality.

I bought mine through amazon and instantly regretted it. Very difficult to set up with poor documentation. Hikvision wouldn't help as I wasn't a wholesaler and the same for the firm providing it to amazon. Buy it this way and you are on your own! Lots of instructions on line but totally confusing. Stay away unless you have a hikvision expert to install it for you and I'm an ex electrician engineer so I thought it would be a doddle. Build quality and picture are good but still struggling to get video via WiFi which I need, ok if hard wired though.

These systems are really for professional installation but with a bit of application and a few YouTube videos you can get them working. Best to look at the installation information and decide if you can manage it. I am an electronics engineer (retired) and did need to view the instructions as there is a fair bit to know on passwords and network setup. However now its all working, its great! The display is nothing special but is sufficient to see who is ringing the bell. You can set the ringtone to any bit of music you have but obviously it needs to start without taking time to become loud or your visitor may leave before you answer! You can get additional cameras for say a rear door bell and these hook up to the same screen via Wi-Fi or network cable. I have a CCTV system of the same brand and it works well together. The phone app allows you to see who is at the door and without a monthly fee to do that. The screen can display your other CCTV images, but only if MPEG encoded so older Hikvision cameras may not work as they use H264/5. The IR emitter on the camera can cause the camera to repeatedly switch back and forth to night and day mode if there is a reflective surface facing the camera. In this case its best to switch off automatic day/night and use the timing function to switch it instead. You get audio from and to each doorbell to talk to visitor if necessary via the app or the display screen. The hardware is of good quality and the wiring is done well with plenty of options and features.

Purchased this as I have the hikvision ptz camera’s so all works together but it doesn’t record onto the SD cards so no video playback and no screen shots at motion detection. But other than that it works really well.

Highly recommend to buy from this seller as they provided detailed guidance for installation. Also great quality and connectivity. The product has great performance and is worth for the cost.

Very rarely leave reviews but decided to on this occasion. Needed a video doorbell/ intercom which would allow gates to be opened. Although not intended for a DIY’er, it’s pretty straight forward with lots of YouTube videos to help setup. Mo at Bit Solutions are contactable (rare on Amazon) and helped within minutes with some technical advice on the correct wires to activate the gates. Excellent.

Avoid this seller! The seller knows there is an issue with this camera kit and is still selling it! I’ve spoken to hik vision 3 times myself and they informed me of this.. I then informed the seller and they are still selling. I had this kit installed by a qualified hik vision installer and they couldn’t manage to get it working to its full capacity. Seller refusing to take back the item what an absolute disappointment.

Sconsiglio questo video Citofono dopo poco ha cominciato a non funzionare più, dopo due anni. Il problema è l’unità esterna…ad oggi non ho ricevuto nessuna assistenza da parte del venditore…mi ritrovo ad avere un apparecchio che non funziona e dovrò acquistarne un altro!!! Sconsiglio vivamente il prodotto e il venditore che non ha più risposto!!! Ed è ancora in garanzia!!!!!!!
