it works
Phone did work ok. The main issue we have with it is we have no signal with this phone at home but all our other phones have signal. So it seems the antenna is not as good

Cost-effective burner phone
PROS:* It costs $65 on Ting. Seriously, what you get for that ain't bad* No major complaints on battery life, reception, etc. But it does run Android, and is a typical low end android phone* Is almost certain to exceed your rock-bottom expectations in terms of performance. If you want a simple burner phone to phone people, rather than a lifestyle and fashion choice that defines you who are as a person, this isn't at all badCONS:* It's basically plastic, but what did you expect?* The control buttons at the base of the display are unlit. You have to just know they're there, or else you won't see them.* The micro-USB connector juts out from the plastic substrate, which means that to mate up the charger to it requires considerable finesse, to say the least.* It has a hard limit of 8 GB* There is Ad-ware for Opera Mini added in to it, whose ads you have to disable (though can't remove, so it will always take up memory)* MAJOR: Because it runs a downrev version of Android (Android Version 5.1), and does not support any update (the mechanism to do so has been disabled), you can't update to Marshmallow and use an SD card as additional app storage. Sucks, but it is what it is. 8 GB is the limit, period. Don't even bother buying an SD card for it; it will hardly be usedEDIT9/12 - It inexplicably bricked after half a year, so I've dropped it a star.

The phone is fine for what it is
The phone is fine for what it is. It's a little slow, battery life is average, camera is weak, but that's all to be expected. It does the job, though. I doubt it's as rugged as advertised, but hey, I could buy about 14 of these for the cost of one new iPhone 8.

paperweight
I bought this phone for my daughter because I saw a decent review somewhere and it was around $45, $45 I should have flushed down the toilet instead. SOftware is horrible, almost unusable and always rebooting. Extremely cheap case and components, the battery door keeps falling off, which is fine because the battery can hold a full charge for about 2 hours if you don't use it too much. I am usually good with doing my research on devices, they got me on this one. Hope the money I paid for this piece of crap burns a hole in the pocket of the owner of this subpar chinese company.

Rugged? Not in the slightest!
I bought this off Ting, and at first it was great. It was cool and sleek, but the company is what that made this purchase horrible. It's not like anything I've seen before, but I hope I never see something like this again. This phone was great a week ago. Dropped it and the screen is broken from the top to the bottom, my fault entirely I do admit, but their company is essentially non-existent and I cannot get in contact with them to get a replacement screen or anything for that matter. There isn't even a phone number and their email doesn't even work. Not to mention this phone has no cases or screen protectors, so this was bound to happen eventually. Worst money spent. Spend your money on anything else. I'm serious. I'm sure even a flip phone has more cases and replacement parts than this. Did I mention the company has only ever made this ONE phone? I thought I was getting a quality phone. It reassured me it was "shock-proof," whatever that is, it wasn't.

The most horrible device I ever saw (and I saw a lot)
I bought it for testing for $179. The price for this device should be about $30-40 - cheap plastic, troubles with opening back panel, device looks like cheap Chinese toy.Android security update is from far 2015, Android 5.1 - this is exactly what I needed for testing. But if you planning to use it for real - buy Motorola or Samsung for the same price.
