The Army Painter Speedpaint Holy White, WP2003

A single coat resembles washed out denim, a second gets you grey. When you first drop it onto your pallet, it resembles ink and it's quite thin, even after a really good shake. As mentioned you might want more than one coat depending on the finish you're going for, but it does work. It will also thicken/darken as it dries, so don't do a second coat for a couple of hours so you can see how the first looks.

What can you say about Army Painter, top quality paint, great value for money, comes with a steel ball which is a bonus, the coverage is great, dried quick, and is quite thick. getting better all the time, now have a few sets to go with my other paints.

Contrast paints/speed paints are a game changer. I was very sceptical for a long time and eventually bought this and the games workshop equivalent to test them, and theyre fantastic. First you paint your miniature black, then dry brush it grey, then slightly drybrush the most raised areas white. Then you paint over the area in the colour you want, and when it dries it looks wonderful - no need for highlights, inks, or anything else at all. Its all done in one coat.

While not quite as good as the blood red by citadel, still a solid colour and a great speedpaint if you want a vibrant red through a slapchop or white undercoat.

I have been slowly trying Speed Paint as an alternative to Contrast and so far have been really impressed with the quality. Dark Wood works especially well over Matt and Metallic basing, applies nicely though like Contrast, takes a moment to get the application right Vs acrylic. Dropper bottles are really handy and the price is very reasonable.

works well on light colours semi transparent looks a lot like real blood use multiple coat to make it much darker though it harder to se when used on top of dark colours drys fast too

Non è adatto a chi fa vero modellismo. La vernice non è coprente ma è un pigmento semitrasparente(fa un effetto washing sui dettagli) .La stesura prevede che ci sia una superficie verniciata e porosa bianca (primer). Se viene venduto come coprente e veloce è una falsità proprio perché se non c'è questo primer poroso non copre un bel nulla, è il prime stesso richiede 24h di asciugatura se vuoi fare un buon lavoro. Lo userò come pigmenti da aggiungere a colori veri altrimenti nn saprei cosa farne è inutilizzabile, e faccio modellismo da 30 anni non da ieri.

Just not quiet the color I expected.. bit brighter than Forest sprite. Forest sprite is perfect tho.
