Good adhesive, stays put, easy to install
Overall summary: - Great adhesive - Easy to install - Good heat protection I needed to replace the 25 year old OEM wrap an electrical harness near a header. First I tried a product that was a roll of heat wrap, but it quickly pulled apart in places where there were turns. I replaced it with this product and I'm very happy with the result. (see the comparison photo) I saw a 1 star review of this product stating the adhesive wasn't very good. It was plenty strong for me, no issues at all. It was very sticky. More on the tape, its similar to aluminum HVAC tape if you've ever used that. If you've never used it before, imagine aluminum foil from the kitchen but one side is sticky. If you mess up and fold it over, you'll probably not recover. Thats just the nature of aluminum tape, not a flaw in the product. Installation tips: - first, measure the length and cut before peeling the backing off the adhesive - then wrap the line you want to protect - finally, peel back small 2"-4" bits of the adhesive backing at a time and seal that section. Then repeat with the next 2"-4" section

Closest product to OE wire loom protectant.
This is the closest you’ll get to what comes on cars from the factory like GM as far as protecting the wiring going to the starter near the exhaust system. It works very well. It’s kind of a little difficult to apply correctly with one person. You must pull the wire straight and then apply it. This means it works better with two people one to hold the wire in a nice straight taught fashion then the second person to apply a length of the material tightly and peel off the adhesive and then stick the side down to get a nice smooth even layer. My only complaint is that a couple of inches at the end did not adhere very well. fortunately, I only needed two 1 foot sections so I was able to cut that out of the 3 foot section and avoid using the poor adhesive part. This really matched well wire what was on a 20 YO GM vehicle.

This stuff is awesome. Replaced a bunch of old plastic wire loom that was crumbling from age and heat. Easy to use and protects from heat.

Excelente aislante termico. Lo utilice para cubrir una manguera de a/c que estaba demasiado cerca de los headers. La funda y su cinta autoadherible se acomodaron sin problema.

Working great to protect wires from nearby exhaust pipe. Only problem was it was difficult to peel the protective tape away. It kept tearing.
