Awesome little trimmer-Shrubber!
Sporting a very positive first impression because this little beauty is well balanced, easy to trim & shape with and basically works like a charm! Wish they made a kit for it with a battery, charger, and plastic storage case, but this will do for now. Just bear in mind that this is a petite 12 volt shrubber, not a full sized 18v trimmer-hedger and the power is not as intense. It works great for what is designed for and is now one of my favorite cordless tools! Kudos to Makita from a Makita cordless fan and thank you, Amazon for the fast prime home delivery!

Product is awesome
If small area's to handle, this is your tool. I love Makita and Milwauki tools. I only wish it came in a higher voltage for those that have massive jobs to utilize such equipment. The ease of handling and sharpness of blades gives it 5 stars. I love it so much I am going to buy another and ship to my sister. Great for 1/2 hour jobs. Charges rapidly. Forget about the catch gate included. Your going to have to cleanup anyways. It makes a nice guide however if one has unsteady hands or Parkinson's Don't take that as a joke, it is not. My brother suffers from. Just a Que for one that may have either and still loves to garden. Thanks for listening. Ken Sanderson

Great first trimmer for small jobs
As a woman I was never trained on how to use a trimmer so I wanted something small and easy to handle. This tool is pretty lightweight and very easy to use It did the job quickly. I did 4 trees plus some brush (to push it back) and a few other things all on a single charge and could have kept going. Highly recommend!

Amazing for topiaries
Wow, if you’re wondering if this is worth the money, don’t. Ive been using a less expensive unit for a few years. With about 7 large topiaries, I had no idea what I was missing. Forget all the noise about voltage, battery size, etc. when you buy quality like this you get super sharp blades and a cut speed that doubles the other guys. Just buy it, you’ll understand after 10 minutes of cutting what you’re missing.

Shaper, not a trimmer!
Can’t handle much, or clutch slips. And when the blades get done, it’s good for the trash???? No sharpening service will touch this- they all say the blades are too small! Makita, a disappointment! How’s about a solution for worn clutch and blades?? So upset!!!!

12 V system
So I never actually used this thing but I did like the size and weight and the quality it felt durable and I think it would have good maneuverability. Had to return it because I rock the 18 V platform.

I wanted 2 more!!!
This is the tool I’ve been dreaming of forever. I’ve bought several battery grass shears and saw the Mikita grass shear. Bought it and it certainly is a good, long lasting tool. After liking the power and durability of the makita grass shear, I bought this trimmer. What a life changer! It is the perfect size for one hand use. I use it to harvest peppermint for making home brewed tea. Trimming around trees, spring clean up of pokey, dried stems. We have 5 country acres and have a lot of the thick stemmed wild grass that gets into everything. This tool just cuts through it with ease. The battery lasts as long as I’ve needed it in a full day of work!! Did I say how much I love it !!

Very good!
Very light weight, yet powerful. Battery doesn’t last as long, but I can use any of my husband’s other Makita tools.
