I've bought a few of these cans now, it's amazing stuff. Dries quickly and with far better performance than other materials. However, like some other reviews have mentioned I've had my first defective can. At £60 a pop you'd expect a lower failure rate!!

Probably works beautifully as a shielding spray, but doesn't work at all for electroplating-the lacquer floats on top of the silver leaving a non-conductive surface...

This product is extremely useful if you wish to electrically charge a plastic or non-conductive surface with a coating to allow electroplating. For example, to gold electroplate plastic that is not handled much (like a decorative object), you only need to spray this onto a lightly-roughed (1000 to 2000 grit sandpaper) and/or prepped surface (methyl alcohol degrease) and put on one or two light coats. This product conducts electricity exceptionally well once it is dry. The sprayed object can then be placed in an electrolyte solution and electroplated just as any conductive piece of metal. It is easier than using gold leaf and produces a professional finish. A lacquer finish can always be applied to the gold finish afterwards if desired if it is to be handled.

Product works but not to the product specifications values. I tested this using card board material and cut two pieces that cover a horn antenna. I applied around 4 layers to one of the pieces. I radiated a signal at two frequencies, both at L-band. When the metallic paint faced the impinging signal the attenuation was around 24dB. When the paint faced down the attenuation increased to about 30dB. This is impressive since the normal attenuation of the cardboard (without the paint) is around .2dB. The item is a bit pricey but it does work.

Works great but have had to change nozzle due to clogging.
