Complete Recovery Strap Kit

Great product. Someone stole my shackles off my truck and I wanted a nice replacement. I came across this set and it's a really great value for everything that you get. Most of the 20' tow straps alone are $30, locking hitch pin is usually $20 and the shackles are around $20 for a set of two - so essentially you're getting a lot of bang for your buck. The shackles are cast, but seem like they're solid and the isolators and rubber washers are a really nice touch to keep them from making a lot of noise when not in use. The receiver insert is very solid and you can rotate it to make the shackle horizontal or vertical. The hitch lock is great and seems very solid. I'd recommend oiling it once a year or so to keep it from seizing up on you. Tow strap and the bag is really nice. I keep the recovery strap, a few tools and extra things in the bag and it fits nicely under the back seat in my Ram. I've only had the set a couple of days, but It seems like a great value and like it will hold up to the abuse/elements. To keep the shackles from being stolen, some guys recommend welding them or zip ties, though I'd like to actually be able to use them and zip ties are just a deterrent. If someone wants them, they're going to get them. I used a large crescent wrench and just torqued the pins down tightly. I think that will be enough to deter the "those are nice, I think I'll grab them" jerks. Happy wheeling and enjoy!

This is my updated review based on Motormic's 5 star customer service. On February 8th I received an unexpected package from Amazon. Inside Motormic had responded to my review in which they sent me the bag and locking hitch pin from the photo. The new bag is better quality and has some nice side pockets. The locking hitch pin shows that they care about the perceived value of their product. For my jeep 4x4 needs I will be giving Motormic a first look. ----previous review--- This would be a 5 star review but the most important factor holding it back from that rating is I have not used this for recovery yet. I am sure I will just not sure when it will be used. The second factor is my kit did not come with the locking hitch pin. Everything appears to be heavy duty and most likely overkill for anything I will get into but it is a great security of mind knowing I have the gear in a bag. On a final note, my bag also has ripped on the outside layer in the corner as another reviewer stated. I too expect that I will have to replace the bag down the road but this would not have held it back from 5 stars as my recovery kit will be expanding anyways.

Honestly, I haven’t used any of it yet. I have tow straps and D-rings now. Mostly HP and TSC stuff I’ve thrown together. It’s served me good in the past. This kit had the receiver D-ring mount which I was interested in for my FJ I bought. Receiver mount is a solid bar, not the hollow tubes like some. The strap seems to be good quality for the price. D-rings are also better than I expected. The lock will probably never get used. The bag is pretty much worthless. I do wish this kit came with a tree saver. But all in all, for the price, it’s a pretty good kit!

Excellent product. my nephew has the same kit, and been using it for recovering his, and his friends offroad vehicles that gotten stuck in the sand in the Arabian desert of UAE and Saudia Arabia. He used it lots of times and it never failed. So I decided to get him this new kit as a present, and got one for myself to use in my jeep JKUR here is the USA. my Jeep wrangler Unlimited Rubicon is equipped with everything that is "WARN" made. I am a big fan of Warn products, but for the high recommendation, this kit been truly proven reliable/ tested offroad, and for its great value, I could not pass this one. (note: NO, I am not getting anything from the seller or manufacturer by endorsing this product. I just like good reliable tools that do work when needed, hence the honest review)

Awesome product the strap looks very good quality and durable, I believe that the tow rating is underrated since is much beefier than other tow straps I seen in stores with the same rating. I have one of the D-Rings and the receiver hitch mounted on my Jeep and it looks great and is very solid, having the pinlock is a plus! Taking out one star because, in mine the bag came with one of the seams badly stitched, as is opening up, is just a cosmetic issue, and I did not buy this for the bag, but still

I bought this complete kit for my husbands truck. This is a great kit that is really heavy duty, he was thrilled when he opened it and was really surprised at the quality. The tow rope is really sturdy and so are the hooks, the receiver hitch is pretty cool, he was going to install it just because. It comes with its own storage bag, it is really heavy and I can see that it will be rough on the bag, but you can easily store it, it is pretty compact to fit under the seat. This is a great kit to have to help someone or if you need for your own vehicle. I am really happy with this purchase as well is the husband!

My neighbor and I put this gear to work right away. We had to drop four hazard trees around our cabins. All were 125 foot or taller. The fellers left them in ten foot lengths right were the fell. The strap and fittings in the kit all played a part in getting the rounds collected up in one place ready for bucking and splitting. Your gear was stronger than my cable choker which broke on the first pull. We used the strap directly around the rounds for the rest of the job. The strap held up exceptionally well with this misuse. The robust nature of your gear made this job go quickly and smoothly. Great gear!

I shopped around for a similar combo of strap and receiver at the local chains and was looking at close to $100. This kit was significantly cheaper and included 2 shackles, a locking hitch pin, and a convenient storage bag. All of the components seem to be well made. I have only used them to pull a few large bushes out of the ground, so I have not really put much stress on them yet. I do feel confident that when I need to use them for vehicle recovery they will do the trick.
