Pure Encapsulations DGL Plus 60 vcaps

These capsules were recommended by my Nutritionist for my overly sensitive stomach. They have been lifesavers while I am on a restricted LOW FODMAP diet.

I was taking the product as advised by physician, but after several months, it didn't do the job. Physician prescribed later prescribed Nexium which is working so much better after just 5 days.

Product recommended by Naturapathic Doctor. It seems to be helping, but only had half the bottle so far. Just reordered, so I guess I am happy with results.

If you suffer from stomach ailments you will benefit from this all natural & clean supplement . Licorice root, marshmallow & slippery elm calm the stomach wall . I have used this product from Pure Encapsulations off and on for four years with terrific results . Directions read 1 capsule before each meal , though my MD prescribed 2 . Highly recommend .

This product works great for my ever irritated stomach, due to medications. I was on prescribed medsfor a couple of years of which you're only suppose to stay on them short term. I was able to make a smoothtransition with this product. This brand recommended by my nutritionist.

Good product...

I had GERD & severe gas problem that popped up suddenly, which made it hard to even get sleep. Studied various nutrition/diet/herbal approaches from many websites. First tried NOW "Super Enzymes" because i came to know that Betaine HCL was contained in it. After 4 days of that, i did not get complete relief, so i added this product. This has to be taken 20 mins prior to meal, preferably mixed with saliva (which means you will have to take the powder out of capsule). Within 2 days, my problems disappeared. But according to the literature i see on net, DGL has to be taken for a few weeks, to be therapeutic. The dosage suggested is about 380mg, with meals, for a treatment of about 2 months (which is my plan, before i taper off). A similar product is made by Thorne Research which contains more DGL and can be split into "half doses", which would be more economical and easier on the stomach......You see, i started getting diarrhea after a week, if i took it for 3x/day. Aloe Vera, has that laxative effect, even though this product says it is from inner fillet of Aloe. Also note that the digestive tract will be coated with other ingredients and hence the absorbtion of nutrients will be lower than optimal. Consequently, one would lose weight (DGL does that too). I would suggest to reformulate product to have less Aloe, more DGL and split the capsules into half doses, so that consumer can control the amount that they can take per meal. If you are taking other herbs, do your research and check for cross-effects.
