Works great for my needs
This product is working great for my needs. I just needed my dash cam to run while my vehicle is on otherwise the camera will drain my battery. It was easy to install and has been working great for me specific needs. I would say this is much easier than other options out there or trusting a dash cam to shut off on its own.

Works as advertised
Works well with my dashcam. Makes supplying power easy and clean. I hate tapping into the fusebox. It's actually a bit dangerous because the taps can get loose over time. This taps into the OBD II port for power. Just plug it in. If you need the OBD port for something, just unplug this until you are good to go. No hassle.

Solved - random auto shut-off on highway
I'm very pleased with this product and I'm writing a review in case anyone has the same issue. (I drive a 2014 Honda Accord.) I leave this product set in the position that turns off after 5 minutes when the car is off (not the always-on position). I started noticing that my dash cam would randomly turn off on long car rides on the highway. I thought this power cable was faulty and I could get the camera to turn back on by flipping the rocker switch to always-on and back again. But after some more time in the car, I was able to isolate the problem better. When my car is running at a constant highway speed on cruise control for a long time, the OBD voltage drops and the camera turns off. All I have to do is slow down my cruising speed by about 5 mph, and then the dash cam will come right back on - then I can resume my original speed. This might be a function of the OBD protocol at constant speeds, or it may be a gas-saving feature of the car - reducing alternator load (and voltage output) when it's not required. Luckily my dash cam makes an audible tone when turning off, so I know when to adjust my speed and turn it back on. I never seem to have this issue during city driving.

set off service light in car
I gave it 4 stars because it does work and it works great for someone with the right OBD in their car. i could not leave it plugged in because when i would start the car my service light would come on. I would have to unplug it ever time before starting the car then plug it back in after the car was started and it would work just fine on my 2019 corolla se, but unplugging it and plugging it back in is a hassle not plug and play. So beware might not work on your car. so it is 50/50 it will work. but the quality and the idea is on spot. when it would work it powered my dashcam with no issues.

So Much Easier
Currently using this in a 2024 Dodge Durango GT Plus with a Rexing V33 Plus dashboard cam. I know V33 comes with a cable that will allow me to power it directly through the fuse panel, but on the Durango, the fuse panel is under the hood. I did not want to have to worry about going through the firewall to connect it. That is when I found this power adaptor. I love that it can be switched from Always On to ACC Only. I have only had it installed for a day now, and I am leaving it at Always On until I see significant drain on the battery.

Working Great, Easy Install, Reasonable Price
Installation was super easy. I was able to hide all the wiring in the car's interior trim and runners on a 2018 Pacifica. The switch on the unit works as advertised (so far!). Mode 1 shuts everything off after 5 mins. Mode 2 keeps power on (until the battery hits a low voltage, then shuts everything down). I am using this harness on an Aukey dash cam with parking mode and motion sensor, so I like the mode 2 option. No need to cut into wires or piggy back on the fuse box. We'll see how this fares more long term but for now, really happy with it.

Works
So it keeps power to the camera on my mercedes when I get out and close the door but the power cuts off next time I open the door?? So I have to power my camera back on manually every time I open the car door.

Powers my dash cam
I had issues powering my dash cam off a fuse tap. But this is a much better solution. It has been trouble free.
