This Yair Emanuel Havdalah Set is absolutely beautiful. We love that it is compact and modern, yet the hammered finish gives it a timeless, almost ancient quality. We have used it every week since it arrived. The narrow rectangular opening holds a flat-braided multiwick candle solidly. Any wax drips clean up easily - especially if the wax is cooled. The cup is wide enough to easily extinguish the candle. We were pleasantly surprised to find fragrant spices already in the spice box. We made do for so long with a makeshift Havdalah set, it is a pleasure to usher in each new week with this lovely piece of Judaica.

This is a nice set that works well & fits a more contemporary style. My kids like that part of it. I also like that it is compact. We have been moving quite a bit over the past few years, so this will be easily packed for the next move!

Very pretty and unusual design. Only issue is that the braided candle does not stand up very well in the shallow space alloted for it, even with extra melted or sticky wax to hold it. Separate deeper holders are sold but then it wouldn’t be part of this lovely set. I wish there was a candle that would fit. I used aluminum foil and wax but it took away from the pretty design.UPDATE: After using for awhile I discovered a braided candle will stick in the shallow holder after it’s been used a few times so it’s not so tall. Still plenty of uses left for it to stand up in holder though.

Love this Havdalah set. It is compact, modern, elegant, and easy to use. It is the perfect wedding present or use it to enhance your own Jewish practice. Excellently made in Israel by Emanuel. Seller was fantastic in getting us the item quickly and was a pleasure to deal with.

I have a very basic havdalah candle (attached image). As a fellow reviewer has described, it's not deep enough. In my case it's not wide enough, either, so doesn't fit the candle at all. Makes the candle holder useless.What I do like is the packaging, the look is very clean and compact, and the spice box came with spices already! Unfortunately I have to return this item since I need a set that can hold the candle.
