I recently purchased this soundproofing door seal to block out noise from outside my home office during conference calls, and I'm pleased to report that it's been a game changer. The seal does an excellent job of keeping unwanted sounds at bay, ensuring my work environment remains quiet and professional. Installation was a breeze, which was a pleasant surprise. The instructions were straightforward, and I had it set up quickly, with no need for professional help. It's a straightforward DIY project that can significantly impact your work-from-home experience. However, there's a slight drawback. Since installing the seal, I've noticed that my door is harder to close. It's not a deal-breaker, but it requires more effort than before. This might be something to consider if ease of door use is your priority. Overall, I'm quite satisfied with my purchase. If you need a soundproofing solution for your home office and are willing to overlook the minor inconvenience of a stiffer door, this product might just be what you're looking for. It strikes a good balance between performance, ease of installation, and cost-effectiveness.

Got this for my college apartment that has a paper thin door to an echo-chamber hallway. This kit helped with noise levels a lot! It’s not perfect, but removed a lot of high frequencies and muffled hallway noise. Downside being that it’s much harder to shut the door, but that’s a trade off I can accept.

I currently live in a tower unit with front door access inside the building structure. Both the floors inside my unit and the floors in the common area hallways are made of a very hard tile (think hospital). All sound carries far in this building and I have kids! To make matters worse, our doors are hollow, made of metal, and feature a gap between the door and frame (see photos). If standing in the common hallway, you can hear almost everything coming from the interiors of the individual units. For the above reasons, I began searching for a solution. I initially purchased a door seal made of foam type material and a thin, transparent plastic door sweep for the bottom. These worked somewhat to stop the airflow through the gaps but did very little to dampen the sound. Also, the seal looked horrendous and began detaching (see photos) and the door sweep picked up any and all dirt, which meant constantly cleaning it. Back to my search... I found this product combo and I couldn't be happier! The install was so easy and there were thorough instructions included. I was worried about how the stripping would fit around the edges of my door. While there is a prominent gap, the way the door lock is installed leaves very little room for error (my locks are mechanical/automatic so the door must close enough or the lock will not catch). This stripping has an awesome design and can be used in its wider state or it can be split down the middle. My door was not able to close enough with the wider stripping. The stripping splits SO easily (by hand, no cutting tool required) and cleanly down the middle (see photos). I am also excited because this gives me a ton of extra stripping to use later or for other doors. The door sweep is super thick and very sturdy. It completely closes off the gap under my door (see photos) and stops ALL airflow that used to come in. I also have a low-pile rug in my foyer that is laying in front of the door, so I was also initially worried about the door sweep catching on it. I positioned the door sweep all the way to the floor and have zero issues with it catching on the rug. The sweep features a small area of thinner, more flexible silicone along the very bottom edge, which allows it to glide along the floor and not catch rugs and/or dirt. Aesthetically, this product combo looks SO much better than what I had around my door previously (see photos). I couldn't be more pleased. As for functionality: I am happy to say that the sound coming from my unit is *greatly* reduced (yes, I had my children involved in the sound reduction testing haha). Additionally, the airflow is now nonexistent. I used the toilet paper trick to check for air coming through the gaps and I now have no air at all creeping through (this will be a huge benefit once it gets colder). As I relocate homes often, I will definitely be purchasing more of this in the future when I run out! I hope this review was helpful!

I got a downstairs apartment. Bugs are an issue. I noticed automatically that you can clearly see a giant gap in the front door where I was basically able to peep out and look outside. It was like a second peep hole. I didn't have to do the whole 360 of the door, which is great as the sliding door needs to also have some added in due to a huge gap that you can clearly see out of. Either way, I'm a person who has not done much home repair things. I was still able to install it quickly and easily. There's definitely less sound coming in from outside despite me only doing the top and 1 side of the door (the bottom and right side did not need to be done). I simply followed the instructions and watch the video they provide and boom, done! I love it. Super easy. Will definitely help with pest management too. Overall, I'm super happy and glad. If it doesn't stick right away just press down harder. I even closed the door to help it stick better. Overall I 10/10 recommend it!

I bought this product to seal the gaps on my patio door and hopefully dampen the noise coming off of the highway outside.... and while the product quality is good (nice adhesive and texture for the stripping) it doesn't exactly deliver on its promises. The noise is still as loud as before and the gap still exists. I doubled up and added a couple strips to the big problem area in the corner and all it did was further push the door away from the frame. I actually ripped it off because it made the gap worse. And while there is a 100% money back guarantee on the box, don't actually take its word. I tried to request a refund through amazon, but I am unable to do so unless I return the ripped off stripping....which I threw away because it was ripped off and basically in tatters. This stuff does NOT come off easy (I guess that's good for you if you can get a good seal).

They effectively block noise. I can sleep much better now. You can still hear some noise, but very, very little. I would say they block about 80% of the noise.

Product is easy to install and adheres very well. I was disappointed that I was unable to close my door as it is quite thick. It may be dependent on your door/frame combination. There have been many positive reviews so although I can’t use it I’m not faulting the product

You can buy the two items in this box seperately for a lot less, but it's a nice kit for people who just want to buy one thing and not think about it. But while I was waiting for it to arrive I realized I could have gotten the weather stripping and door sweep for about half if I bought them seperately. I wouldn't recommend it, but the products are fine.
