when refering to "get your money back" does that mean just the $5.99 and the price of device?

If you are referring to the 'insurance' policy; it means a refund of the insurance. If you are referring to the 'Amazon Return' policy then it means to get a refund of the 'purchased item'.

If there was an error in transferring over some data to the hard drive, but otherwise it is working, can I use this to get the deleted data back?

After reading the terms and condition, it does refer to recovery of data without restriction to drive failure, as long as you can send the device in a proper manner. I believe you can contact them at 1-800-261-9859 for more information. Hope this helps

The seller i was buying my sc card from sold out, so i had to switch to a different provider. will this still cover it? (purchased on amazon)
