Such good music. The thick vinyl makes a huge difference in feel and dynamic range. The packaging is fairly simple, but that's made up for by the very high-quality recordings (there are only about three songs per side, so each song is full definition).A sweet bonus is the free download card to bring the album on the go.

A brilliant understanding of what the 80's sound was all about.
Over the past couple of years I fell in love with chillwave music. Tycho's Dive, Toro Y Moi's Causers Of This and Neon Indian's Era Extrana seemed the cream of the crop to my ears. I listened to samples of In Decay and it didn't grab me and I especially hated the band name Com Truise. After awhile I had run out of new chillwave music to discover so I finally broke down and downloaded this album. It took awhile, but it really grew on me (as did the other Com Truise albums Fairlight, Galactic Melt and Cyanide Sisters). Now after many, many listens, I feel In Decay is an outstanding record, but I necessarily wouldn't call it a chillwave record proper. To me it sounds like every great and every bad about the 80's. I doubt Com Truise were even born then to remember the 80's, but I do, and I think he got it right. What's different about this record compared to the one everyone seems to love best, Galactic Melt, is that In Decay has atmosphere. It's unsettling. It sounds utterly lost, yet embracing a certain oblivion that all and any 80's digital sound seemed destined for. "Dreambender" is a haunted mall of forgotten sounds and faded neon dreams. "Alfa Beach", true to how the 80's actually were, is romantic, ambitious, but blinded. It's only when Com Truise realizes it's own genius (such as on "Yxes") does the album seem to smart for it's own good. The great achievement is that in terms of sound, Com Truise discovered (through it's brilliant and crude textures) not only what made the 80's tick, but also its obsession and outright acceptance of anything synthetic as uncompromisingly authentic. For this and so much more, In Decay is essential listening. It is truly a work of genius.

Great Album, But Arrived Warped
This album is amazing but the record arrived warped so the tracks skip around quite a bit. Pretty disappointed with this.

Awesome!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I listen to this album everyday at work. It's so old school 80's techno, but has a fusion of more contemperary sound. It reminds me of an 80's SCI-FI film everytime i listen to it. I like the track Alpha Beach esp. Really good album and artist!

Hits that sweet spot
As a child of the 80s, lover of synth, and aficionado of outer space, this album hits all the marks for me. Deeply groovy, funky, melodious, unique, retro yet modern, smashing. This is the second Com Truise Album I have downloaded within a week and I will most likely be going for more. Thank you Com.

Elektronischer Eighties overkill
