Poorly researched and regurgitated
I was really looking forward to this book and assumed it would be an enjoyable collection of folklore and legends. Unfortunately the author goes about this in such an annoyingly childish fashion I was unable to enjoy it. The author clearly has no understanding of science, how folklore is formed, or even basic mythological stories. He continuously uses the Bible as if it was a valid collection of history. This book was an insult to read, anyone who knows their mythology, skeptic and believer alike, will find this book frustrating and useless

A solid five
My precious friend Mary turned me on to Bart before she went home and I've been a fan ever since. My dad was born and raised in Bell county Kentucky so some of these things I got to hear about from my dad who had his own experience in an area called Browns Creek then one more time in Pine Mountain at one time I would say my dad and his mom my mamaw Murphy were the voices of Kentucky their lore and knowledge of Kentucky went far beyond anyone elses unfortunately they took that knowledge to there grave s and it's a tragic loss but what Bart writes in his books especially this one is amazing and he truly is the only true voice of Kentucky and always has been. There is something in the woods we aren't exaggeraters nor have we experienced mass hallucinations but we know what we know and we have seen what we have seen skeptics be damned by their own certainty. This book is far better than any new age quackery thats being written about the so called Star People. Those people need to get their heads out of their shiny glass bottles and see the truth the real truth for what it is and Bart gives us that truth. Thank you Bart my friend from my heart thank you.

Interesting read but loses it at the end
It's an interesting read with a lot of cases, but turns into a religious pamphlet at the end instead of serious scientific research on this phenomena.Disappointing at the end, though YMMV if you share the author's religious disposition.

Barton Nunnelly gets it!
This is an awesome book, it has really good information and it's hard to put down. Mr. Nunnelly gets it! His conclusion at the end is what really excited me, he is the only author I've read to date that understands what's happening on this planet. He spells out the deception that's been thousands of years in the making, he's clearly shown what's behind the phenomena of UFO's and cryptid creatures. This book in my opinion sits a top all others of this genre. My hats off to you Barton Nunnelly for all your research and amazing discernment!

THE CLOSEST ANSWER
Having read and studied everything I can get my hands on about WHAT is going on, brought me to much the same conclusion as this book tells. When you read this book through, if you are brave enough, and reach the end, it will provide an answer the TV media would NEVER ADMIT as to who and what is behind everything, INCLUDING ONE WORLD POLITICIANS that are OWNED and mind controlled by evil forces.ONLY GOD CAN SAVE US!

One of the best crypto-ufology books I've read
I wasn't sure what to make of this book at first, it seemed like just another generic collection of fortean stories and phenonmena, but the more I read the more I found myself pleasantly surprised. Nunnelly is just a great story teller and I can honestly say, if John Keel's name had been on the book I would have believed it was written by him.

One of my favorite cryptid reads!
I am so excited about this book! For some reason I got it later in my quest for answers. I became an avid cryptid reader when I began working on a novel based on some of these "legends". I read a couple bad reviews that criticized Barton for not knowing a thing about science and for being too religious... things like that. In my opinion, Barton is incredibly informed, has researched extensively and to me, he is a fountain of knowledge on the subject of Inhumanoids. He is quick to praise writers like Keel or Coleman, but in my humble opinion, he belongs in their company and deserves just as much respect. I love the range of this book, from mad gassers to UFOs to ole Squatch himself. It's a comprehensive guide on the weirdo world we live in and I'm so gratefully to Bart Nunnelly for all his hard work, tireless research and personal quests that gave us The Inhumanoids.

One of the best book on the inhumanoids
Perhaps one of the most detailed book on this subject. The author covers so many types of weird creatures one losses count. The book contains many fine drawings and pictures illustrating his point. The writting stying is fresh and fast pace. The author knows his subject well. I thourally love this book.

A fantastic read, but it lacks notes to source material.
Jam packed with accounts of weird creatures seen by people from all walks of life, all over the world. Some accounts are brief, some longer. This was a truly fascinating and comprehensive read that I highly recommend. My one criticism is that the book totally lacks any references. There is a brief bibliography but that's it. There is a large number of accounts where no names are given for the witnesses , so it's impossible to verfiy those stories. Where names are mentioned, sometimes the author mentions personally talking to them but for the most part it is unclear where the author sourced the story. A book like this should have footnotes at the end of every chapter, referencing source material for every single case. If a revised edition was made to include this oversight, without doubt this would be a seminal work on the topic.

This is delicious
Mentioned on the Cryptonaughts podcast, this is a scattershot at all things cryptid. It has extended sections on some classic cases like the Mad Gasser of Mattoon and the Mothman. Only thing is, it lacks references. Having said that, this is a joy to read. Every section has a 'stop and wait' moment, where you think 'that can't have happened...can it?'

Good read with some fascinating case accounts. One criticism is that some outlandish claims are made without any evidence to support them I.e eyewitness testimony. However, this can be forgiven as overall this book is a huge step forward in our knowledge and understanding of the very strange creatures that ordinary people encounter

Tremendous!
This is my favourite book on the subject of strange creatures which inhabit our planet. Barton has done a great job compilingthese experiences into a very readable and enjoyable book that had me enthralled to the end. It is one of the rare cases where I didn't want it to end but like all good things...Well done Barton!
