Regarding other bouillons, it's important to compare "apple to apple" products. Because Shirley J Chicken Bouillon is a gourmet/premium product, it is more highly concentrated than other products on the market. Our bouillon does in 1/2 tsp what other products do in 1 tsp. Therefore, you do not need to double the sodium content for the comparison. That would be inaccurate. And... comparing a powder bouillon to a paste doesn't make sense. They are completely different products with different types of ingredients. Hope this helps in your quest to find your perfect bouillon. Government/FDA guidelines specify 140g per serving is considered low or 5%... I'm not even sure if that would be considered 'Reduced Sodium' which is I think 25%. You can google it for more info.

If you take a look at the other bouillon products, you will find that Shirley J is lower in overall Sodium content.
