Fun!
We have a blue heeler (aussie cattle dog) who used bells on the door to tell us when he wanted to go outside, but he started using them to try to tell us other things so we got these buttons. He is a smart pup and picks up on things pretty easily. The instructions were helpful in teaching our dog how to use them. He does sometimes get confused, especially if the button get moved around, but we can tell he enjoys being able to tell us exactly what he wants. I docked a star for durability only because sometimes the button will get "stuck" and shout words out when no one is around, but overall we would buy more of these for our guy.

Pair them with a good book on button training for dogs and teach your dog to talk!
I can't say enough good things about the Hunger For Words Talking Pet buttons, and training your dog to talk in general. These buttons work well and have good sound quality for the price. You can get the mats by the same company to securely position them on the floor for your dog. Pair them with a good book on button training for dogs and teach your dog to talk!

5 out of 6 buttons work
Of all the house dogs, 3 month old Labrador puppy quickly mastered her preferred sequence of "eat eat outside" for her al fresco snack on the porch. She also likes to pick up button "eat" & walk of with it. Sadly, she has no interest in any of the other buttons. The other dogs aren't as motivated (Corgi & Maremma) as they have their own routines but are curious. Time will tell but it is very interesting to try out. I'm the one who is being conditioned and dogs just humor me. One of the buttons noise level is barely a whisper so useless IMHO.

You need supplies for these. AAA batteries and the tiniest screwdriver in the world
These are OK. Not good, not terrible. Sound quality is poor. The “outside” button didn’t work properly at first and we had to hold it down until it made this weird skipping noise, then it finally started saying “outside”. My Great Dane is very interested in them and tends to use her nose to push them down instead of her paw, which is good because I feel like these would break easily. They are a good, cheap starter kit, but I’m returning now that I know she will use them. We will be switching to Fluent Pet.

Wish they were more durable
My dog LOVES his buttons. As a matter of fact, he loves them so much, he broke a few of them. He gets really excited about certain words ("walk" and "eat" for example) and he hits them so hard and in rapid succession he's busted the button on a few of them. They get sorta sticky and won't depress after too many enthusiastic attempts. Not sure if that's a quality issue - might just be my dog being a goofball.

Love these!
These are super easy to use and have proven to be pretty durable. We haven’t had any stickiness in the buttons. All smooth sailing and very functional and good paw size for wide span of dogs in my opinion. Overall value of money! Plus it comes with a super helpful booklet to help with tips and tricks training and use of them to help with training!

Good for early training and building a bond with your dog
The dog uses them, understand them, and is a good supplement for dog training. Highly recommend using this kind of engagement with your dog if you want to have the smartest dog. The volume is a bit low. I'd want the volume to be higher.

I'm just not happy with them other people might be
They didn't come with batteries you have to use a screwdriver to open them they take two AAA batteries I really don't understand why they couldn't just run off of One battery they don't even have a recording function. I figured it best I'd need like six batteries to run these but I need 12 they're not included and there's no platform for the buttons to sit on so they're just loose running around the house. I think I'm going to go for one of the sets that's like one giant piece with multiple buttons built into it that doesn't run off of 12 AAA batteries. I wanted something easy that I didn't have to program that I could just start using today but this is actually proving to be way more difficult than just recording them myself.

Arrived same day order was placed. Batteries sourced at half price fr woollies was waiting … Product came well packaged. Good instructions came in a professionally set out booklet. Buttons are Well designed and seem sturdy enough for my 9,5 kg genteel cavoodle who is playing it very cool atm. First impressions - well priced, good quality well thought out starter pack with 6 essential words. The colour choice suggests it is well researched as dogs best see blue and yellow and require contrast to improve visibility which is how the set is presented. Pity it doesn’t allow recording but the pre recording is crisp and clear. Battery compartment requires a screwdriver to open. 2 AAAbatteries needed to power up. Easy enough. Atm I’m more excited than the dog. Lets hope he comes to the party . So far all 6 buttons are working. The walk button did have a lag on ocassion maybe sticky on one side. 2weeks on update … this has self corrected.

Only gave this 3 because the eat button volume is so low it's useless.
