Q: How would this install where you have recessed lighting?

Q: When hooked up to alexa, will it allow me to have her play Amazon music from the speaker?

I have this paired with my google home set up and my hub can accept the command to play music on this speaker and successfully complete the task

Q: Can you dim with a wall switch dimmer? Or only from the remote?

It only has a hot and neutral wire so if that is all your switch requires then it should function on a dimmer switch. It is also Bluetooth compatible so it does have functionality with smart home apps on your smart devices as well
