I mounted this on my vintage 3-speed bike, and it worked like a charm. Great product at a great price.

This is a *needed* piece for SA hubs. I do, however, wish it had a housing termination. I had to 3d print one myself so I could mount it to my frame. Aside from that, works well.

Exactly what you need to replace the three speed control cable. Includes some hardware bits that go down towards the hub end. I might add, Sheldon brown, the sadly deceased bicycle mechanic, has excellent sections on the Sturmey Archer hub. If you have a question about how the cable is routed, or something like that, just look it up on Sheldon‘s website.

The photo shows the purchased cable — coiled up — and the original — pulled back from the housing. Note the cable ends don’t match. The fitting that goes on the other end of the cable -- allowing variation of the cable-length to link appropriately to the wheel hub -- is correct.

I installed this shifter cable on my 1961 Rollfast bicycle that I have restored, and it works great, and looks very good on the old bike.

You can't just hook it up and go. In fact, that's what I like about this kind of product -- It requires your mind. After all, riding a bike is a mental exercise as well as a physical one. Might as well get the best of it!
