This is a great quality field monitor! Very easy to use and has a long battery life. In most cases you can use it all day without changing the battery. Great picture quality, size and design.

I make videos for YouTube and for students and bandmates learning guitar or guitar parts. This is a great and inexpensive way to get an addition monitor if your video camera doesn't have a swivel type monitor. It is very easy to use, but it doesn't come with a power supply or battery. Luckily I had a few extra Sony batteries laying around, but I can see the frustration if you buy something and don't have a way to power it up to use it. When I bought it the price was significantly lower than what I currently see, but I think it's a good buy still. The colors are vibrant and the focus feature is helpful.

This monitor handles 1080p and 4K inputs without any issues and comes with useful features like a histogram, audio dB monitor, contrast zones, and zebra patterns. Even though it outputs at 1280x800, let's not forget this is a 7 inch monitor, and for this size, the resolution is sharp and more than enough. You won’t need anything higher for such a compact screen. It is lightweight, portable, and the sunshade is perfect for outdoor shoots. Great value for DSLR video work... You can use USB C to HDMI and connect it to a smart phone too.

I bought this because it had great reviews and many of my videographer friends recommended it. I had a couple initial complaints but honestly it was fine for how much it costs. Basically, 8 months later it stopped being compatible with my camera. I tried to ask for assistance and there was no answer.BEWARE: If you buy this you can't fix the orientation of the video -- so if you are shooting vertically it might be difficult. You also have to purchase separate pieces in order to mount it. When shooting video, there was a horrible lag time. It was basically only good enough so you can see the coloring, lighting, and framing.

Hooked this up to the HDMI output of my Canon 5D Mk IV. I tried several other hook ups and none of them worked. They all resulted in the Canon freezing up and required me to disconnect it/them and reboot everything.This hook up works great. I can see the output of the camera just fine and I especially like that I can zoom this monitor in for focusing. I was also able to turn on the crosshair option, so I can see the center of the field, for composition.I like the price too.I am happy.

Great field monitor for certain photography situations. I plan on using it for mostly night shots when using a tripod, though I used it the other day under sunny conditions and with the hood it was a breeze to photograph some products . It definitely is easier to look at image from this monitor than viewfinder on camera constantly . Wish it came with a battery. Luckily I had 2 batteries from a led light panel that fits this monitor perfectly
