Me dejo muy sorprendido porque hizo que mi Sumiko Rainier suene muy bien con Jazz. Es el pairing perfecto con cartuchos calidos. Abre mucho el soundstage y agrega coloracion a las frequencias altas

This thing provides a serious boost in sound quality. Was not sure I needed one since my new turntable has a built-in preamp but took a chance based on other reviews saying an external unit would improve sq and this is absolutely the case. I am hearing much more soundstage, individual instrument details, and channel separation than I was with the built-in amp. I disconnected this and went back to line out for a sound test - was shocked at the difference because I originally thought the turntable sounded great stock out of the box. Reconnected Pluto 2 immediately.... Cannot imagine ever going back to regular line out. US made is a very cool bonus and the overall build quality feels great. There's no power button but I have it on a power strip with a switch. Super value price wise and all around amazing performance. Highly recommended!

I want to say first and foremost please make sure your cartridge input capacitance is within its range when getting a pre-amp to get the best sound of of it. I have and Audio Technic VA530en which is known for being very bright so I had to make sure the input capacitance was in between 100pF and 200pF this unit is at 100pF so I needed a cable no more than 100pF I contacted U-Turn they advised me to get the KableDirekt 3 foot cables that game in at 65fF, that are here on Amazon and it worked perfectly!! I got a very nice punchy un colored sound from this unit. In saying that, when I was doing my research on Youtube so many gave the Pluto 2 an inaccurate sound profile and acted like it was the pre amp but it wasn't. I am not saying what pre amp sounds better but what they were given was not the true sound capabilities of the U-Turn Pluto 2. There is no way they could be using one cartridge and comparing the Pluto 2 to other pre-amps when the input capacitance requirements are different between the cartridges and preamps and there is no input capacitance adjustment so you were not getting an accurate sound profile. I am glad I didn't believe that crap did my home work and I LOVE my Pluto 2.

Works well, sounds good, (after all it's for a moving magnet cartridge not a high-end moving coil). It has a pleasant flat & clean sonic presentation. (Unlike the slightly bass bloated tube Fosi Audio I bought and returned.) It looks good much better than the Rolls. It's all about the price point, spend more you may, and probably will, get an improvement, spend less and perhaps you will get less, like the aforementioned Rolls. (Ugly but sounds good too.) In conclusion it works well with the Fluance RT83 I bought for my adult granddaughter, and it looks good with her other gear, but I wish it had an on-off switch.

Considerably louder, and more detailed in quiet passages, than the Sony receiver preamp. Brighter highs, punchier bass, it really is a night and day difference. Surface noise seems less prominent as well. Really nice construction, solid all around. Very happy to support a US business building great products here.
