Love it
I love this torque wrench. Easy to set the dial. This one is longer than my old one, for better leverage. I don't use it everyday but it feels of high quality.

Perfect! Just get it!
The TEKTON 1/2-inch split beam torque wrench is a top-notch tool that delivers accuracy, durability, and ease of use. The build quality is excellent, with a solid, well-crafted design that feels sturdy in hand. One of the best features is the split beam mechanism, which doesn’t require resetting to zero after use—making it convenient and hassle-free.Setting the torque value is quick and straightforward, and the clear scale ensures precise adjustments. It provides a satisfying click when the desired torque is reached, giving you confidence that your fasteners are properly tightened. For the price, it’s a fantastic value, offering professional-grade performance at a reasonable cost. Whether you’re working on automotive projects or other mechanical tasks, the TEKTON split beam torque wrench is a reliable and accurate tool that won’t disappoint. Highly recommended!

Recommended.
Very easy to use.. Just set the value and go.. What I like is you do not have to set it to the lowest setting when finished. I prefer this click type torque wrenches over the digital.. I have 3 of the Tekton manual wrenches they are built with quality and the grip for each is perfect. The quality of this product was well worth the cost and I highly recommend this brand if you are looking for an affordable, quality built tool.

Amazing torque wrench with an amazing warranty that cannot be beat!!
This split beam torque wrench is one of the best!! Extremely well built, quality, and a lifetime warranty that you cannot beat!! This torque wrench took a beating for 3 years in a shop environment before it gave out on me. Everyday, for hours and hours, upwards of 7 people used this torque wrench, and it was not treated well at all during those 3 years lol. Thrown, dropped, run over, got wet, etc. It remained accurate month after month and never let me down!! When it did finally give up, it was time to file a warranty claim. I messaged tekton through their website at 4:10pm on November 29th and at 4:12pm on November 29th, the same day, only 2 minutes later, I had a new torque wrench in the mail on the way to me. You couldn't even see the issue through the photos I submitted because the issue was internal and I offered to send a video, but they didn't even care!! They just took my word for it and 2 minutes later I had a new one on the way!! Unbelievable!! You cannot go wrong with tekton guys!! They keep improving, they keep innovating, and they stand behind their product. They are one of the only tool companies left that are still doing things right!! No receipts, no time limits, you don't have to be the original owner, and you can reef on these tools knowing your covered. They are making more and more tools in usa and they bring you a quality product at a price that makes sense. I try to buy tekton tools when I can and I've never regretted it, and you won't either. This company will only continue to grow and continue to innovate. They are among some of the best and continue to surprise me every year. They are family owned and operated, and if you want quality at a great price, with an unbeatable warranty, this is your brand!! Happy to be a customer and it's been awesome watching them grow into the company they are today!! Suck it snap on!!

Solid tool, but the adjustment should be better.
The split beam design took a little getting used to. On a twist handle wrench, the effort to twist increases as you set it for higher torques, but on the split beam it's just a little knob that's easy to turn regardless of the torque setting. On the Tekton, the adjustment knob feels loose and the semi-circular setting scale is small and doesn't seem precise. The wrench seems to be accurate when compared side-by-side with other wrenches, though. There's a large scale on the back that looks like it should be the setting view, but it's just a sticker with a standard/metric conversion - I wish it was a nice big view window for the setting. The knob is secured in place with a spring loaded cover. Watch your fingers - the spring is heavy and I've smacked the bed of my fingernail a few times. The click is softer on the Tekton vs my old twist handle wrench, so you have to pay attention. The wrench is solid and feels good in your hand. It looks pretty cool, too. I like the range of torques it can cover and the small amount of flex in the head is a nice feature. I just want the setting dial and scale to be more precise feeling.

Best Torque Wrench I Have Ever Owned.
With auto mechanic shop rates having gone up considerably over the past couple of years I have taken to doing more of my own work. I have learned that in doing so you need to have quality tools. This wrench was not cheap but being confident that you're doing a job correctly is worth the investment. The setting dial has a protective cover that snaps into place to prevent it from being accidentally changed. The dial is pretty small and marked off in 5# increments which is kinda hard for my old eyes to see, but I like it better than the twist handle wrenches I've previously used. The click is very audible and quite satisfying - especially for those 200+ ft lb adjustments. The wrench is very well constructed and the head pivots on the handle making getting to some of the harder to reach places a bit easier. It's a lot of wrench for the money and well worth it.

Perect in every way
If you are looking for a torque wrench of this size, you have found it. It is absolutely worth the price. It is so easy to set the torque, and it gives you a good clean audible snap. It has great grips, and looks really cool (bonus). This company really nailed it with this product. Get one.
