Corpse Princess - The Complete Series S.A.V.E.

I am not a teen or 30 something, just saying. I enjoy some anime but it must have well developed characters ( that don't do that open mouthed yell thing much) and some semblance of a plot. This show had both. I found myself interested in the characters and trying to figure out connections and motivations. There was no sex and very little cursing, ( if you need that to make your show, then you lack a plot). At the end of the show, I found myself wondering if there wasn't more out there that was not in this set. The only real drawbacks I found were at least two or three shows were dedicated to nothing but flashbacks of previous episodes. Other then that I would recommend it for anyone over 12, ( yes there are gratuitousness boob shots, it is anime after all)

I have wanted this Anime since the first time i saw it but never had the money to do so until it arrived in its S.A.V.E. format. An amazing storyline, characters, action everything! This is a must have for any Anime fan (least in my opinion) as it has everything u want for a violent action thriller and more! You can not go wrong with this one!

This show has almost everything that is required, for what should be considered a good anime. The show provides a generalized understanding as to the idea behind the main story as it begins. The dead walk, but they only want one thing. Human flesh!!! Only one thing can stop these beings. Shikibane Hime. These women are looked down upon by their superiors, those from the Kogan Sect. Monks are provided one per partner, better known as a "contracted monk". Each monk becomes intuned spiritually with their Shikibane Hime and provides "rune" or life essence whenever they are injured. The Shikibane Hime are indestructible, unless there monk is killed. Only recently dead young women can become the saviors of mankind. The story transgresses as the plot unfolds, new characters are introduced, new enemies appear as well. The main problem with this entire series is that there is no ending, the audience or viewers are left hanging, with no idea how it ends. I strongly recommend this if you enjoy good graphics, bad ass fight scenes, semi-strong plot and the new concept about death and how it is used in this particular show. Just don,t expect an ending

As expected; been waiting 3 years for Netflix to send second season; no hope and bought this to finish seeing it: UNFORTUNATELY like many videos and books THERE IS AN OPEN ENDING...THAT IS: "to be continued" is the last line right before an OVA type revealing of an old character's past; would have preferred 2 more disks and the END of this series...THIS IS NOT A COMPLETE SET: THEY STILL NEED TO FINISH IT!!! Other wise this is true to the first season, characters, voices and Animation are good; worth buying BUT expect no end in sight. The video is good but, unlike other "NR" rated shows this is full of teases: you see many women suggestively dressed apparently without panties but never a straight view to confirm it... basically an "R" film. Some like teasing but it's distracting from the story since it's never revealed and you wait for a view that never comes. UPDATE: I accidently found the only pic up a girl's skirt here... but I dare not show the complete pic; 2nd volume, 30min, 14 seconds our one armed heroine is crouching apparently wearing a thong since a rear view only shows her butt cheeks. Use my pic to find this in the show. LOL

Highly recommend this series, also the S.A.V.E is an awesome price for an anime that is seriously overpriced anywhere else. Stay away from Funimation though, they are getting worse every year, but their old stuff is still good. This is an awesome series.

Dear Reader, I loved this series! The anime was good as I remember the first season. The thing I would advise is not to ship a twenty-five pound bag of rabbit food with this though the disks weren't harmed so the case did a great job of protecting them. The thing can say is that I wished this series had another season, or a movie, Sincerely, Spiral

Overall this is one of my favorite animes. Great story, characters, voice acting (english dub), action scenes, and music. Have not read the manga, if i could find it online (for purchase) i would read it. Tried to find out if it ended differently in the manga. *MINOR SPOILER* The anime ends with a cliffhanger. It's fair as you can know how it mostly likely ends, or just pretend the last scene doesn't exist and the show ends just prior to the last scene. Thats better in the sense that im not left wondering or searching for a manga thats not on sale from what i can see. Oh the packaging is basic. The SAVE edition has reversable sleeve art so it looks better on the shelf.

I saw this anime a while back never got to see the ending but from the episodes that I saw made me wanna get it and now that I have it I can't wait to watch the full series. Each episode is great there's never been one which I would consider boring and out of place a must buy for anime fans

Pues la historia aparte de no tener nada de original es para mi bastante aburrida, tiene buenas escenas de acción pero sólo éso, como dice en otros comentarios terminas detestando al protagonista, para resumir, vi los avances, pensé qué me iba a gustar...me equivoque jaja, pero en fin esa es solo mi opinión, si eres fan de estudio gainax a lo mejor te llame la atención, en mi caso es de lo peor que eh visto de gainax.

内容的にはダーク系バトルモノです。 キャラクターのバリエーションもあり面白いのですが、 主人公とヒロインの声優が新人さん（今はベテランですが）で下手過ぎて辛いです。 そういう部分で人を選びます。

I think it was a nice and addictive anime. The main character is annoying, I wish Hori died, but we have to endure him for the whole series. The whole point of it is to watch Makina kills tons of Shikabane. I think they finished the story too fast I wanted to know it would end. But at least it has an end (unlike Naruto who refuse to come to an end until recently
