Great value processor for an overall system upgrade
I really like this processor having moved from an Intel i3 2120 that served me very well through the years.I noticed a big improvement in performance across the board. This processor runs nice and cool with the stock cooler. I really try for silent rigs and did not have great results with the previous generations of AMD processors due to their heat issues and sketchy coolers. They have really hit a home run with this line in my opinion. It runs cool, silent (with stock cooler), and handles my casual gaming and some test virtual machines with ease.I have this paired with:- ASRock AB350 Gaming 4K board (overkill, but was on sale)- EVGA GeForce GTX 1050Ti SC graphics card (wow, these are expensive nowadays, bought a used one at a fraction of the current price)- 16GB of Gskill Flare X 2400 RAMOnly small issue is that I have not been successful in overclocking the CPU (RAM overclocked with no issues). I got lazy and did not troubleshoot much because the stock speed is fine by me. Rather have it run cool and silent.[Edit: I have been running this new processor for 4 months as of the date of this review]

Rockin' little gaming processor
Had it about 2 1/2 years and from what I can tell has performed very well, alongside a Radeon RX 580 4GB. I game in 1080p and usually settle for mid/high graphics depending on the game (medium for online usually). But I've appreciated the performance in heavy web browsing, web design, and basic photo/video processing.I have a hunch that these things require a bit more power (or uninterrupted power) than Windows 10 likes to give it. Had issues with system stuttering for 2 weeks after my first install (everything, including Windows UI, would freeze for about 30 seconds at a time, every 30 min, like clockwork). Drove me absolutely nuts and ruined my online gaming. Tested all hardware, upgraded drivers, etc... Finally tried turning power settings in Windows from "balanced" to "high performance" and never had the issue ever again.

Not as powerful as I had hoped.
For starters this is a great processor for budget builds and light/moderate gaming. For $99 I really can't complain too much, but it really goes to show how much you can't use specs to compare processors across different brands. I have an i5-7600 (very similar specs to this processor) and it demolishes this one when running games. Different architecture really makes a world of difference.I'd say if I had purchased a Ryzen CPU based on the PRICE of my i5 and NOT the specifications, this could be a completely different story. So this is definitely my own fault. This CPU hits 100% usage on a usual basis on games such as Dying Light and GTA V, and I've noticed it bottlenecking the GTX 1050TI.No problems with overheating using the wraith cooler and pre-applied paste (no overclocking).Learn from my mistake!

AMD Ryzen - excellent price/performance
I am a retired IT professional. I recently had the need to replace my desktop unit (age) with a newer system. I have used AMD for all of my builds and have been very pleased with price/performance. I am not a gamer and use my desktop for home office and part time consulting work. I have been very pleased with the performance of the 1300X. I am running Debian Linux (64 bit version) and this processor is giving me excellent performance. I have used it for about 2 weeks now and have had zero issues with it. The fan that comes with the processor is really quiet. You can't tell the unit is on when you walk into the room by sound. It is really quiet. Again I am an AMD fan for many years. I would recommend this processor to others. Build included Kingston HyperX Fury memory, Kingston SSD, ASUS B350 Plus Prime MD.Also for those who are not aware, the current Ryzen processor lineup do not have GPS support - you will need a separate Graphics card. I am using an ASUS GPS. Not an issue in my build but thought it may be useful information to other in planning a build.

Great entry for the Ryzen 1
Great entry for the Ryzen 1.0 Am4 platform if you are looking to get into. I bought the top tier motherboard with the x370 chipset for a great foundation to upgrade on.Pros:Price4cores 4threadsX- has a bin for XFR 1.0Great stock cooler (was running 4.0 out of the box)I think it supports virtualization and SMTRyzen 2.0 released, pricing should go downAm4,socket plan and competition in the marketCons:Ryzen XFR 1.0 limit to 4.0 in most cases (haven’t tried higher will get AIO)It’s 4C/4T to get multithreading you have to get 1500xRyzen 2.0 is releasedI’m addicted to computers now along with games, cars and tinkering 😔

Amazing for the Price
Its been a little while now and this processor holds up amazingly well. I have played Destiny 2 and The Division on High and they worked flawless. However, Recording Destiny 2 on High settings showed some hickups, which I expected. Overall, If you need a good chip for gaming, This is it. BUT if you want to record 1080P on High/Ultra, you may need to step it up.

1 Month in, First PC build, Good Performance so far.
My first PC build and 1 Month in so far, really enjoying it. Handles all my 1080 60fps game on high with the 1050ti GPU. Happy with my Ryzen so far. If performance keeps up, I will probably upgrade in the future when i get more cash. Wraith cooler works good for now as well, I may replace with a closed loop liquid cooler later as well, again all about getting that extra cash. But entry level pc, first time builder, definite 5.

Good Product weird price
Very good CPU good overclocker and it's a good product I just think that it doesn't really justify costing more than the r3 1200 because it reaches 4GHz while the 1200 can reach 3.9GHz on the same architecture with about the same specs not just that but the r3 2200G cost less and reaches same clocks with less latency so be informed when you buy don't get me wrong its way better than buying intel it's just it doesn't make sense I bought it on Cyber Monday for 99 USD so it was Worth it then
