I have a lot of watches. Many more expensive than this but how do you compete with the pragmatic simplicity and modern aesthetic of the Timex Explorer? This is a watch that keeps amazing time in the indigo feature makes it invaluable in places ranging from movie theatres to deep in the woods. Well, I’m glad the new Explorer upgrade has 100 m water resistance, I’m not as big a fan of their colour schemes. I have also never in 35 years had to watch die because I got wet in the rain or accidentally quickly dipped in a pool. I have several of these and I’ve heard many commentators noting how the Indiglo kills the batteries but I honestly think I go 5 to 6 years between new batteries; and they’re like six dollars and they take five minutes to change. Grab a few extra straps and you basically have several watches.

Good looking watch, well built. Simple appealing design. Only "negative" thing I have noticed is the loud movement, don't sleep with it and the date is too small. Timex.... Create something with similar design, 41mm with mechanical movement! Or grab a mecaquartz movement to keep it affordable.
